Flash_Guardian beams smugly as he takes in the familiar sights of the Arena. Taking up a position on the sidelines, he begins to stretch in preparation for a match, watching the proceeding battle in the center with interest.
Kaina falls to the ground, her body lying limply on the arena floor. The vines would continue their twisting way up his body, trying to bind him tightly within their grasp, render him immobile. The sharp steel like thorns pressing against his leather with the constricting force of the vines. Her body on the ground begins to waver, unable to hold its form for much longer. A long white smoky tendril begins to slide out of her body with a nails-on-a-chalkboard screech. The bluish white flames that were encasing her body, smolder into nothingness. The screams from the ball in his pocket abruptly silent.
Janus walks in...
Nexus-5 would hold itself up on the outside of the arena wall, pulling its head above the massive barrier to peek inwards. His single optical zoomed in on the main battle as of now, recording the various techniques used. He would not stay for long- he did not know if the locals were friendly.
Oracle_of_Fortitude is once again standing there all cool like in Guardian Avatat form.
Blank is here... sort of.
Flash_Guardian finishes his stretching. He straightens himself up gracefully, dusting himself off ... and sees the familiar face of Blank. He looks over at Blank, smiling and waving in greeting.
Janus had his place, standing to the right of the Oracle. He just sort of looked around, bored, and wanting to do a bit of light sparring. "So..."
Nexus-5 watched onwards at Kaina as her body lay there on the arena floor, observing the other being sicking larger teeth into the woman. It was unsure now, wondering if this is a ritual or a friendly greeting, though by the womans expression, he guessed not. He dropped from the wall, turning away. He thought a final moment about what he'd seen, before he sprinted away.
Oracle_of_Fortitude sorta like shrugs, "yep..." and then proceeds to stand all cool like. ^_^
Adrian Tepis Knew all of this by heart by now. Classic symptoms of some sort of demonic pressence and all of that yada yada that had manafest themselves imporperly in a host body. Thus, the leaving of an artifact to encase one soul while the other would wreak havoc in that body. A simply grin, though only having moments to take action over his thoughts. With a simple clincing of his fist- that new fund strength after having once again having his feed- that orb would simply shatter as he had been holding it. This would atleast solve that little problem of the demon and her switchting places. As well as that burning of the body thing. Now the only problem left was the fact that he was being entangled in numerous amounts of vines that were squeezing him. Ripping slowly trhough his clothes to seat at his skin. Though no signs of pain would be given. He'd just hope she could stop them now, if all worked right.
Drucilla walks into the arena looking around to see if anyone is here .so she heads onto the bleachers and sits.
Flash_Guardian straightens his posture, stiff and upright with his arms at his side, palms flat against his thighs. He bows slowly and deliberately, pausing before straightening again. Another pause ... then he begins performing a kata, a predetermined martial arts fighting sequence against several imaginary opponents.
Oracle_of_Fortitude looks at all the people then resumes standing all cool like. Speaking to Janus... so like ummm what ya wanna do?
Song storms in, stalks to a wall of the arena, pulls out her sais and throws them against the wall.
Song storms up to the wall, yanks them out, backs up, and throws them in again.
Song repeats the motion in silent anger, till, spent, she collapses onto the bleachers.
Janus drew in a deep breath, and bent down to the ground as if reaching for something. Sure enough there at his feet would suddenly be a sheathed full tang ninja sword. It was simple enough, about 38 inches long all together. Holding the scabbard in his left hand, Janus shrugged his shoulders a bit, and leaped into the Pit. His trench coat wavering about a bit as he was airborn, but only to flap down its natural state upon his one knee'ed land. Though rising to his feet, Janus took a few steps foward before looking about..for a fight.
Kaina flickers out leaving an inky blacknes shimmering where her body had once lay. The white tendril splinters into dust, particles drifting like dust to the floor at the crushing of the silver ball. The vines happily go about their business of trying to crush Adrian, wiggling gleefully if they manage to penetrate his skin. In the inky blackness the image of the elf girl takes form, solidifying into a rather drained, exhausted looking lady. She gently blinks open her pure emerald green eyes, the wounds on her throat trickling blood down over her blouse. She glances to Adrian, her legs trembling with the effort to remain standing. Taking a deep breath she raises her hand, a lilting chant rising from her, the vines quiver at the sound of her foreign words, disspelling them back to the void they had arisen from. Uncertainly the vines loosen and fall from Adrian, slinking back into the cracks of the floor. Completely drained of energy, she collapses back to the floor.
Drucilla jumps down of the bleachers and over to the other side of the arena and draws 4 rings on the wall. then she walks about a couple of yards away and then begins to practice her arcery skills.
Flash_Guardian is nearing the end of his kata when he pauses briefly, a thoughtful expression on his face. Gesturing subtlely with his right hand, gathering wisps of white light about it, he suddenly whirls and flicks his wrist violently behind him at another invisible opponent, sending a visible disturbance slicing through the air in a wave. Spinning with the motion, he followed through with a whirling set of three kicks, followed by a jumping kick while gathering another muster of magical energy in his left hand. Upon landing, he draws back his left hand into a fist before spinning and ramming his knuckles to the ground, sending a rippling tremor across the surface of the ground a few feet.
Oracle_of_Fortitude begins the Auction of Janus.... "And herewe have a finespecimen, finespecimen. stepupstepupstepup andfight fightfightfight. Do we have anytakers anytakers. NoSIR not you notyou. Stepupstepupstepup getPWNED byJanus JanusJanusJanus...."
Song sighs again and saunters out to get a drink.
Drucilla hits her target dead center and then shoots again spliting the airrow she shot earlier in half.
Oracle_of_Fortitude - The avatar lets out a slow sigh and deftly waves an arm across the populace encompassing everyone…bellowing out… yeah “Listen here children.. Young Kaiser here… whom you may know as Janus is looking to kick one of your lucky arse’s now step up and take the fight before I personally sh*t kick every buttock before my eyes!!!”
Blank casually lounges in the stands.
Oracle_of_Fortitude will do it too if he has too ^_^....
Kaina has all the time in the world seeing how she's lying half dead on the floor. ; )
Drucilla puts some of her dark magic into an airrow. she then shoots the her target but when the airrow hits it blows a small part of the wall.
Janus would sort of rotate his sheathed sword around, his left hand at the weights middle point. The weapon spinning in his fingers as he waitied for the first to come foward, or even two at a time. His eyes would move around, keeping a look out for any quick attackers.
Flash_Guardian seems fully lost in his now improvised blend of spellcasting and kata. His spells and maneuvers become grander and flashier with each imaginary combatant he faces. At last, he finishes it by swirling his open hands in a counter-clockwise spiral, red shards of energy following in their wake. His hands at last gather at his sides, enveloped by the wavering red mana he had summoned. Two brilliant flares lip up, sending a crackling cascade of reddish energy down his legs. Magically charged, he leaps eight feet straight into the air, hovering for a moment, his feet seeming to burn with flaming energy. "SO-HHAAAAII!! he calls, kicking his legs out in a giant spin, his feet becoming a blur of two flaming rings for a second, then falling back to the ground, crouching and punching low in one final strike.
[Blank] ...
Adrian Tepis Would shake rather quickly at the point where the vines would all finally fall of him and such. Damn those things hurt like hell too, ripping and squeezing and what not, to a point where most of him was bleeding at a rather bad rate. But either way, he would simply lean down next to the newly formed body of Kaina. At her looks, no more than a chuckle after what had happened. Now, it was her turn to make a choice. Lifting his hand up to his mouth, he would use a fang to cut through the leather on it. In doing so, piercing the skin to where he would bleed. Choices: Lay there and pray you don't bleed out. Or drink the icky vamp blood and become part vampire. Ewww... that's not nice at all. Oh well- lifes a bitch and then you die- or in a mans case you marry one. But that's another lesson. So simply placing his wrist infront of her mouth, he would hold it there and figure she got the point of it. If not, see ya in hell?
Sadira treaded into the through the arched arena entrance with the most casual of dispositions, slender hips swaying as they were wont to do. Delicately defined digits were carefully laced at the nape of her neck, auburn tresses falling askew into chocolate hued eyes, obscuring her vision only slightly. A deadly grace, precise in every manner, accompanied the lithe little creature; each step placed perfectly – silently – in front of the other. Grace cupped with confidence – no, arrogance. A lethal combination if ever one existed. She stopped just short of the pit, leaning against a nearby wall. Wisps of aforementioned hair were blown from her eyes, allowing a clear, steady gaze to pass through the area. The lines of a pensive expression were etched on to the features of her face, and she seemed quite content to stand there, as it were..
Flash_Guardian glances over the people in the stands, then back out into the arena to see what was progressing ...
Flash_Guardian is suddenly curious, noticing that the battle has ended but one of the combatants is not moving. He moves a bit closer to inspect Adrien and Kaina better, a worried look on his face.
Janus sighed a bit, and used his thumb to push against the hilt of the sword. Allowing to become slightly pressed out of the sheath, though his right hand would come around and take it by the wooden brown handle. Pulling the blade from its scabbard, an odd sound would come forth from it. A sort of smooth grinding that would come from a customization upon his scabbard.
[Janus] - For he had installed a v-shaped spring loaded sharpening device. Though once the simple and freshly sharpend blade had been drawn, he would place the scabbard on the ground and give his blade a few twirls and twists before holding it down at his right side. "So...Anyone up for some sparring?" He spoke loud enough to be heard by those in the Pit, and the low stands.
Sadira shut one eye for a moment, peering through the other one. In a fluid series of motions, she pushed herself from the wall and settled…on the ground with a flurry of rising dust and a gentle oof. One leg was crossed over the other. Elbows were rested to her knees, then, and a pointed chin was cradled in the palms of her hands. Both eyes were now half-lidded, and she peered ahead precariously.
Blank watched the happenings of the arena with an mild interest.
Flash_Guardian sees Kaina, severely wounded on the ground and near death, and sees Adrian standing over her offering her a self-inflicted wound ... putting two and two together, he strides up to the pair quickly, eyes wide with concern. "Not to intrude, but was siring the victim part of the terms of your skirmish?" he asked politely, yet suspiciously.
Drucilla puts away her bow and airrow. She then thinks to herself wondering if she should spar or not."hmm"
Adrian Tepis Would tilt his head slowly up to look at the man who had walked over. People always pushing their noses where they didn't belong. It indeed got rather annoying to an extent, but he managed to keep his polite ways while talking to the stranger. "Perhaps. But it is much better than letting a demon burn her body to death, or simply letting her bleed out which would happen in say... a few minutes."
Flash_Guardian glances warily at Adrian's offered wound, shaking his head. "There's no need for that. If there's a demon bothering her, I am more than capable of handling it ... I can heal her wounds as well." He stood there, waiting for Adrian's response.
Kaina stares wide eyed up at Adrian, she begins to tremble, the glow leaving the emerald green gaze locked on him. She knew it wouldn't be long before she sighed out her last breath, but to accept this gift, this curse. The gods only knew which it was. Feeling the first wash of cold creeping through her, she closes her eyes with a sigh. She had little choice and she knew it. Lifting her head slightly she closed her mouth over the wound he had made in his wrist. Drawing in gently she takes his blood into her system, slowly at first, increasing the amount as it courses into her. Her hand lifts to curl around his arm, eyes flash open, glowing a brilliant emerald green. Releasing him, she drops back lying on the floor, waiting, the words of healing from another source coming too late.
Janus cursed a bit, before giving a simple shrug of his shoulders. Picking up the scabbard and sheathing the blade, Janus held it by the brown wooden sheath and turned his back to the Pit. "Well...I guess another restelss night of sleep is all that awaits me." Speaking while walking twords the 'trusty' exit.
Flash_Guardian frowned slightly, his head dropping. He wasn't sure why he was disappointed, the woman had made her own choice when presented with two options ... there was nothing more he could do here. Inhaling deeply, he simply nodded and walked back to the sidelines to await a challenger.
Adrian Tepis Couldn't help but chuckle at such a feeble attempt for the man to make himself known. It was too little too late by this point. Had the man come some hour or so sooner, that advice would have been much obliged. Now- it was easily bordering on annoying. And yeah, too late. "Well, the demon is dead. And that healing wouldn't have worked all that wall either way. Tried it before... wasn't pretty. Now if you don't mind, I need to take care of her." He found himself rather weak now. Drained to some point from those vines, only to loose more blood to healing her. It had been quite a night for him- couldn't wait to find a place to sleep now. Turning to look at Kaina, he gave a slow nod. "You should be fine now. Next we meet, you and I will need to have a talk about all of this."
Drucilla unsheaths her mythrill sword and begins to practice once more.
Blank sighs and rises from his seat and wanders out into the arena, glancing about him. Once at the center of the arena he turns about to glance at the Project's personal booth and sigh.
Flash_Guardian walks over to a section of wall near Drucilla. He stands for a moment, his eyes clenched shut, trembling in frustration. At last, he lets out a war cry and dashes forward, his fist impacting the wall with incredible force, shattering the stone and sending shards of mortar flying in all directions. He lingers in his stance for a moment, fist firmly extended. His fit of rage satisfied, he moves to standing, closes his eyes, takes a deep breath ... and kneels next to the newly created gap in the wall, preparing to spellcast.
Drucilla is starltled .she turns to see wut Flash had done and walks over to see if hes ok. "hey you alright"
Flash_Guardian brings two fingers on his right and left hand together, then points. The ground shakes as a thick wall of solid rock springs into being, repairing the damage previously done to the wall of the arena, mending it as good as new.
Blank slowly turns to reguard Flash with a look. He never quite understood Flash and it was the same visa versa. He sighed again, pasting a calm expression on his face, aqua blue eyes set on his enraged friend.
Kaina nods her head to him, She rises to a sitting position, watching him and wondering what the h*ll she had just done. No more shiny objects! She glances around the arena, all she wanted was her patch of lilies in the garden. Sighing she regards Adrian again, "Thank you ,Adrian. For all you've done this evening." Her mouth quirks into a grin, the humour lurking in her eyes once more, "I look forward to that discussion, I am somewhat at a loss now." She climbs to her feet, groaning at the trashed bloody mess her clothes seem to have become, only to become startled by the other man's display of anger. She slips closer to Adrian, "You'll have to fill me in on how I came to be in this disarray, it was a bit dark where I was."
Flash_Guardian rose from his spellcasting, his face staring blankly at the wall. "Yeah, just fine," he mumbled flatly. Millions of thoughts were fleeting past in his eyes as he stood there, motionless.
Drucilla stare at Flash with concern.she then shrugs her shoulders"Ok fine with me because im not going to try to get you to tell me what is going through your mind cause you might get angry at me so when you wanna talk im practicing with my daggers"she wonders back over to her training spot.
Adrian Tepis Would, in turn, slowly push his way up to his feet as well. Standing beside her as he shook his right hand. Blood still dripping from his wrist at this point, though it had slowled a considerable amount already. He had no complaints about any of, seeing as she didn't have many either. In fact, this could be something to work in her advantage in the long run- would she so choose to accept it and what not. "Only did what I could, rather than killing the demon and your body of course. I will let you know all you need to next we meet. You need to go find a place to sleep, a comfortable one at that until tommorow- regain some strength for what may lie ahead for you. Until then, just rest."
Flash_Guardian wondered if he truly felt up for a fight now. Emotions tend to cloud one's perception. Still, he had to keep up with his training. "You want someone to practice on with those?" he offered her, trying to sound genuine.
Drucilla glanced at him still out of concern "sure....but are you going to be able cause you look as if something is bothering you?"
Blank sighed to himself and started to walk from the Arena. "Wonder when my Doomsday will come?" He mutters to himself.
Flash_Guardian closes his eyes, trying to calm himself and sort out his thoughts. After a moment, he found a brief explanation. "I suppose it's partly my frustration about this realm ... I've been here for several days now without feeling like I've accomplished anything. Another part of it, I suppose, is out of my respect for human mortality. It's nothing against vampires, per se," he reasoned. "I've met some very respectable ones in my time. It's just ..." His mind returned to its former state of confusion. Grimacing, he shook his head. "Maybe I just shouldn't think about it."
Flash_Guardian notices Blank leaving the Arena. Sorry for my display ... see you around? he spoke to him telepathically.
Drucilla sigh's "well you know its not good to keep anger and many other harmful emotions to your self you shoul talk it out with someone so they dont cloud up your mind so if you want you can start with me.
Blank stops at the exit and glances back towards Flash. He wasn't to skilled with telepathy... but he managed a responce. It's alright... and maybe.
Kaina nods her head again, she gathered the destroyed remains of her clothing around herself. In her usual customary way, she leans up to kiss his cheek, "I will go then to do as you suggest. My friend, Esyllt, should be happy to put up with me for awhile." She turns to leave and then pauses, glancing over her shoulder to him, "I'll see you tomorrow, Adrian, and thank you again." With that, she flickers out, resuming panther form, padding silently from the arena.
Flash_Guardian notes that telepathy is a bit easier between guardians ... he nods to Blank before looking back to Drucilla, giving her a confused and bemused sort of look. "You'd be willing? I wouldn't want to burden another with the problems of a stranger ..." Still, there is a look in his eyes that he wouldn't mind some help sorting out some of those emotions of his.
Drucilla smiles at Flash "no problem what so ever so go ahead and spill""
Flash_Guardian seems awkward ... a corner of his mouth creeps upward in a half-smile. He tucks his thumbs into this belt, casually heading out of the arena and towards the stands. "Well, I first got to this realm, this sort of Nexus, about a week ago," he began, not really sure where he was going. "Since I've been here, I feel like I've just been floating around, watching everything ... you know ... not really able to affect anything."
Ramidel steps boredly into the arena.
Drucilla nods her head ""hmmm tru but keep going"
Skiter walks in to ready to watch a fit. She walks around till she finds a nice spot on the wall to stand agents will she looks around at the people wondering what there doing.
Flash_Guardian continues, bringing his hands into the explanation. "Like this one horse-pegasus-creature I met. He used stigmatism, willingly taking another woman's wound to heal her. I offered to heal him, but he refused my help." His eyes narrowed as he remembered the scene. "I also offered to help another child in the bar who was wounded, but he also refused my help."
Drucilla looks at Flash "not everyone is kind in this relam ok remeber that""but sadly i must take my leave beacause i must return home for a day or 2 so see ya again"she pulls a leaf out of her pocket and throws it into the air .the leaf grows very big and she jumps on it and flies away.
Flash_Guardian chuckles lightly as Drucilla decided to take her leave. "No problem. Hey, thanks for listening anyway. I hope I wasn't boring you." He seemed kinda guilty and apologetic, waving as she left. "Bye, and thanks for listening."
Flash_Guardian sighs, falling back against a wall of the Arena, thumbs still tucked into his belt. He looked over to the other two people waiting in the Arena, waiting to see if either of them would challenge the other.
Flash_Guardian peers around the mostly empty arena, brooding something fierce. He kicks a nearby stone with his foot, sending it flying and bouncing across the ground, at last settling down next to one of the arena walls.
Flash_Guardian stands amidst the empty arena ... a subtle breeze blows through the area, picking up dust and swirling it about in lazy patterns. The wind whistles through the empty stands, seeming to whisper of the countless battles they have witnessed here. Flash looks up and around thoughtfully.
Flash_Guardian 's thoughts drift back to the event that just transpired. She chose unlife rather than life ... there was nothing he could do. This still made him angry to think about ... it epitomized everything that he had experienced so far in this realm ... like helplessly watching a wildfire burn out of control, rapidly consuming the lush jungle that surrounded it. He clenched his eyes shut again, balling his hands into fists.
Flash_Guardian shook off his anger. He needed something to distract him ... he picked a direction and started walking, not really knowing where his feet would bring him.
