Happy 6th Birthday to Coral!!!
Today was Coral Ice Cream Party for her 6th Birthday...we had about 15 or 16 kids running around and swimming in the pool and playing games!

September 2, 2002
Happy B-day to Becky and Doug!...and Labor Day!
We had planned on cleaning the cars, but all the kids took our energy away, so we spent the day swimming and relaxing after we got the remaining small portion of the mess cleaned-up.

September 3, 2002
Because Mary is out of town, Amy could go to lunch with Dan, Doug, Shannah and Frank...we got a to-go order and took it to Shannah's Mom and Dad's house.  Dan started doing some extra work for Dynamac to get some extra money, so he can do some more gambling (just kidding).

September 4, 2002
With Tropical Storm Edouard moving down the coast past us, we got a lot of rain and some winds to make it the top story of today...not much else going on.

September 5, 2002
Today was a busy day for Amy...she got pulled over for speeding while taking Coral to school, but must have shown the officer a little "somethang-somethang", because she only got a ticket for not having the registration in the car, then she had to do laundry and pack for her big trip away from the family in Pittsburgh.  After Dan got home with Coral, we all got in the car to take Amy to the airport and then on the way home, Dan and the kids got something to eat.  Subway has a drive-thru, but don't use it...it took 30 MINUTES to get a Roast Beef sandwich!  When we finally got home we all watched FOOTBALL!  (Well, only Dan watched the whole game.)

Happy 6 month Birthday to Ian!!!
Today was Amy's first full day of visiting in Pittsburgh, while back at home, Dan had the kids.  After work, school and daycare, Dan, Coral, Jordan and Ian had a pizza party.

September 7, 2002
Amy got to see Dwain's new apartment, meet Natalie, visit with her parents, and see Becky, Eric, and baby's house.  Later, after a visit with Karen, she met up with her friends at Applebees.  Back on the ranch, Dan and the kids had all kinds of fun of their own...swimming and general merriment all day long.  And to everyone that asked...the kids are excellent!

September 8, 2002
Today was the first real day of football, so in between trips and duties, Dan watched football.  Coral had a bowling birthday party for Angelina and bowled 300 game (over 8 games).
After cake and ice cream at the party, we all took a trip to the Orlando Airport to pick-up Amy and welcome her home with lots of hugs and kisses!

September 9, 2002
Back to work, school and daycare...After work, Dan cut the grass and got ready to watch Monday Night Football.  Are you ready for some football?!?!?!?!  Dan was...too bad the Steelers weren't.  What a sad display...the defense was especially disappointing...I just hope they can rebound like they did last year, or else we are in for a long season!

September 10, 2002
Dan had to hear it from everyone at work about the Steelers...it's tough being the only Steeler fan.  Later, Dan cut the back yard and we got pizza for dinner to morn the loss.

Never forget...

September 12, 2002
A normal Thursday...Amy was home with Jordan and Ian, Coral was at school, and Dan was at work.  Dan tried to upload new digital pictures, but was unsuccessful...they will be on soon.

September 13, 2002
Work, daycare and school...there was not any signs that we saw a black cat cross our paths or walked under a ladder or broke a mirror.

September 14, 2002
Today after gymnastics, we all jumped in the car and headed to Orlando for Horizons Resort.  The Shaffers have a time share at the resort so they invited us over for the day and we had fun!  The pool had a pirate ship that you could shoot water and slide down from.  Once we were tired from swimming and playing all day, we all went to Race Rock for dinner.  This place is like a Hard Rock Cafe and a NASCAR Cafe combined, so there we lots of things for the kids to climb on and play with while we waited for our food.  To top off the day with a bang, Penn State killed Nebraska to sort of make up for the '94 season, but not really.

September 15, 2002
Amy and Coral started the day by going to church at the wrong time...they switched schedules on them.  Then Dan, Jordan and Ian met them at Wal-Mart to pick out the pictures...they look pretty good, but it was tough to get all three of them looking perfect at the same time.  Dan spent the rest the day watching football and following his fantasy team on the computer...end of his story.  Later in the evening, Shannah and Sierra came over for dinner, to jump in the pool, and then have some ice cream for dessert.  The Steelers once again looked pitiful!

September 16, 2002
Coral was sick today, so the plans of Dan and Amy going to training together were changed.  So just Dan went to the "What Matters Most" workshop, a time management class and Amy stayed home with the kids.  Don't worry, Dan taught Amy everything he learned.

September 17, 2002
Amy took off another day because Coral was still sick.  Since Ian had to go to the doctor's for his own personal hell of a 3-shot day, Amy also took Coral and we found out some shocking news...she has mono!  And I didn't think boys and girls kissed until 5th or 6th grade, boy am I getting old.  So, the poor girl was trapped in the back rooms of the house all day and night away from everybody else...that will teach her to play spin the bottle at such an early age.

September 18, 2002
Dan went to work on the early shift (6-12) and Amy had the late shift (1-6), so we could take care of Coral...she was up more today and even spent some time in the family room after Jordan and Ian went to bed.  They both were sent to daycare most of the day for their safety.

September 19, 2002
Coral is slowly getting better...she was up and around much more today.  This made it possible that Dan could upload some of the pictures from the new digital camera to the website, so check out the Family Album to see the new pictures over the next couple days.  Well, the new Survivor started tonight and Dan and Amy kept up the Florida tradition by watching the premier (the show is a Florida tradition because the original Survivor started the week Dan moved down...in the first month without his family, it became the only thing to look forward to at night).

September 20, 2002
After Dan's work shift, he cut the grass because Coral is feeling much better and that way Dan could play all weekend.  After Amy's work shift, we all watched "Monsters Inc." and had a blast.  Once again, this was a great family movie...Pixar strikes again!  Amy gives it 1 "long wink".

September 21, 2002
Dan and Doug spent the day on the gambling boat and the streak is over...Dan lost his money for the first time on the boat.  While Dan was losing his money, Amy was spending hers...her and the kids went shopping.  Later we got take-out from Chili's and watched "Monsters Inc." again.

September 22, 2002
After Amy and Coral got back from church and a few errands, Dan and Ian watched football and Joran, Coral and Amy did some swimming.
We found out some great NEWS for Eric back in Pittsburgh.

September 23, 2002
Today it was back to the grind, but Dan uploaded some more pictures into the Family Album so make sure to check them out!

September 24, 2002
Coral had a follow-up doctor's appointment and she is doing good...the mono has passed.  Dan had dinner with visitors from the Marshall Space Flight Center...they are here to get a tour of the Air Program and the associated emission units at KSC.

September 25, 2002
After Dan showed the visitors around KSC, he picked-up Coral from school and took her to her first Daisy meeting...this is the Girl Scout group before Brownies.  Coral had fun with all the other girls playing and doing little projects.

September 26, 2002
Today is Amy's last day off where she doesn't get paid for it...starting next week, Amy will be a full-time employee, so she had to spend the whole day getting things in order.  First she had to go to the dentist, then she used her gift certificate that Dan got for her in February (this was while she was pregnant with Ian) at the LaBella Spa to get herself rested before full-time work, then she did a couple small things before Coral's post-mono check-up (Coral is all better).  Coral got her first report card and got great marks for the first nine-week period.

September 27, 2002
While other people were busy doing their normal "work stuff", Dan's office had a field trip...indoor rock climbing.  We did some team-building exercises and had some fun.  Today was also Coral's last day of school for a while...she gets a 3-week break because she goes to school year-round.  They had a pizza party to celebrate the end of the nine-week period.

September 28, 2002
After gymnastics, we all went to the girl scouts family picnic so Coral could get her badge and have some fun...they had games and prizes and food!  We got home just in time to watch Penn State lose to Iowa...again.  Not a good year for football so far.

September 29, 2002
Dan and Coral went to church early because we had to sign Coral up for CCD class and then she had her first day of learning about God and his buddies.  After CCD, Amy and Coral went to Denise's house so Coral could play with the twins and Amy got her face "done" by Denise...she is starting a Mary Kay business.  The Steelers finally won.

September 30, 2002
Today was Amy's last day of work as a part-timer.
Coral joined Ian and Jordan at Sherry's house for the school break.
