Artist's Statement
When I was sixteen I painted 9" black and white checkers on my bedroom wall.
I felt so cosmopolitan in the little mill town!
Since then I have developed my own painting techniques and the philosophy that any space can be reinvented and enjoyed with a simple coat of paint and customized ornamentation.
Each room, with it's own lighting and architecture, helps to dictate the nature of the design. I tend to lean toward Art Nouveau designs, wall paper patterns, and large scale murals, but the longer I invent, the more the imagination can be tested and implemented on one's home canvas.
