| Cities Asakusa Asakusa is unique town in upper east side of Tokyo. It is one of the most popular turist spots. First you like to go to Temple and Shrine which is next each other. Then you have to go to HUNAWA. It is very old candy shop which you can buy IMOYOUKAN. Also you can find very old restaurants which are famous for Tempura and Monja. Shinjuku Shinjuku is the biggest town in Tokyo. You will find everyghing in here. And it is very crowdy all the time. The station called Shinjuku-eki is the busiest in the world. 12 kind of lines are connected from the station. I can easily get lost. My favorite side is West of Shinjuku. There are Yodobashi electronic appliance shops. You can find every kind of electric stuffs cheap. And even you go furher there are office buildings. Under those buildings you can find calmness and quiteness even you are in this crazy town. If you go to north east side, you can find very crowded streets full of shops.. I heard one foreign person said "It is like a Times square in Tokyo", but I don't think so. The area is very duty and too many people. Especially, there are one square full of sex shops. Those shops are owned by Gangs. Okuhida Okuhida is spreading around high mountanious area in Nagano and Gihu. Shops 100 yen shop It is one coin shop. 100 yen is about 0.90 USD and 0.73 EUR. You can find everthing. *Rate at Aug, 2004 Foods Gyudon You will find the Gyudon fast food restaurants all over the city. The price is cheap and absolutely no waiting. Bothers English Although many Japanese is learning English and listening English songs, majority of them are not able to hear and speak in English well. If you had a trouble with asking in English, try to use a paper and write down what you are asking for. Because they are way better to read than talk. Others Gai-jin Gai mens outside and jin means person. Gaijin means person from abroad. And it is quite rare to see foregin people once if you go to the country side. You will realize that you are in special kind of attention. But please don:t mind. They are mostly just like to see, and maybe you can speak to them. They are shy but it would make them happy for sure. |

| Tiring nation You will realize once if you were step onto the train, everyone is sleeping while they are in the trains, or reading comics. The average one way commuting time is around 1-2 hours in Tokyo. Like this woman, she invented this helmet to fix her head position so that it enable her to sleep deeper. And the sign on the helmet says that I am going to get off at Ogikubo, please wake me up... |
| Cheery bloosm rules If you were visiting Japan in spring, you will realize that there are lots of cheery bloosms in the city. People feels affection towards to this trees especially. People go crazy to see them in spring. To make a party under these trees are really big deal. To have a party in after-five with colleagues, freshman in the company try to save the place for the party from the day before is not rare. |
