Belgium

Belgium is a small country, but it has a lot of beauties worth to be seen; they are all (or almost all) in the northern part of the country (Vlanders), of Dutch language. The southern part (Wallony) is of French language.

Brussels, the capital of Belgium.

It's said that scratching the arm and the face of this guy brings good luck! It's near the Grote Markt.

The Manneken Pis, one of the simbols of the city. It seems this kid pissed on a bomb saving the city!

A nice street near the galleries.
And a nice clock.

The cathedral of St.Michael.

And another nice street with lots of restaurants.

The famous atomium, in the Heysel area, is another simbol of the city.
Going to a BEST Summer Course in Brussels you drink beer (here the great Lambic at "La Becasse").

And then beer.....

....and more beer!

This is Gent, just 30min away from Brussels.
Having lunch on a bridge!

The square next to the cathedral.

The Begijnhof

and a nice corner on a channel.
The castle of the Flander's Counts.

Still a view of the castle and a channel.

Brugge, less than a hour from Brussels, is one of the most beautiful towns of Belgium.....

.....if not of Europe!

It has a lot of channels....

....and nice buildings.

You can have a walking tour.....

.....or a boat tour.

The Bell tower.

The cathedral square.

Leuven is a small town just 15min from Brussels. Its City Hall is just amazing:

look at this particular of it!
