Technology has imporoved site defense of course with the offerings in 2054 of the Ares Sentry Gun weapon system. Naturally, with no other market has held, the system has sold well. The introduction of the newer Ares Sentry Gun II has also heralded a new age. But one question comes to mind? Just how portable is it? Well, we believe they are not. The impressive ammunition capability, combined with the weapon and tripod overweigh a typical soldier that it takes longer to set up, and more importantly, takes up precious weight. To this end, we created the UA-400C Portable Sentry Gun System.

Designed to be used for light forces, who need to carry around as much firepower without slowing them down. The system is built around a caseless Assault Rifle that fires the common 5.56 x 45mm round. It is fed from a 100-round drum mounted on the rear of the right side of the system. It has a longer barrel for added punch, and mounts a full barrel suppressor for making sure that it doesn't make too much noise when engaging targets. It has a built-in Smartlink II, combined with a rangefinder to be the most accurate in the market today. A specialized arm mount provides compensation for the recoil generated.

It is mounted on a folding tripod base that provides additional compensation. The legs telescope from .5m in height, to a full 1m height. This allows the system to be set for different heights, and allows efficient transportation of the tripod. The weapon assembly itself is mounted on a arm mount allowing full flexibility allowing an elevation of 30º and a depression of 10º. The tripod can rotate a full 360º. It can be set to monitor a set sector if needed as well. Fully loaded with a 100-round drum of standard ball ammunition, the PSGS weighs a total of 8.77 kilograms.

The sensor suite is mounted on the right side of the arm mount, and can mount a full array of sensors available to enhance the system. It can also accept the PARGET system for more efficient site security. The package comes with a spare suppressor, and carrying cases for both parts of the system. And like any system, it can be fully integrated to form it's own defense network. Perimeter security has gotten easier, keep it with the UA-400C.

The tripod itself offers 2 points of recoil compensation. The sensor system mounts a low-light and thermographic capability. Two more options can be added to the system. It has a fixed Initiative of 20 + 2D6. It requires 2.5 minutes to assemble/breakdown.
