Designed for the high-end military/special operations market, the MSG57 (Militärisches Scharfschützen-Gewehr), or Military Sharpshooting Rifle) is highly advanced. Using a frame made from the orbital factories, this shaves off weight considerably, along with other weight reduction measures. It is a heavily modified version of the PSG-54E rifle. Bullpup in configuration and caseless, the weapon is fed from a 20 round clip, and can use optional 5 round clips as well. They are designed to snap together, using a series of studs. Ejection of any jammed rounds is accomplished on the right side. PSG-1 clips can also be used, but do not feature the clip-together system. Manual ejection of the clips is in front of the magazine well, and is fully ambidextrous. Mounted above the forearm is a bipod that can traverse 10º to allow snipers to track a target easily. Below that is the Travilla Arms Group Rail Mount, allowing the user to customize the weapon, either adding firepower, or adding target acquisition devices. The barrel is free floating, and is chambered for the 7.62 x 51mm caseless round. Operation is the patented roller-locked, delayed blowback and the weapon features an ambidextrous cocking handle. Mounted in the scope handle is a Knopler Image Magnification-3 scope. The handle can mount an additional sighting accessory if needed, and can mount the GN45 combined Low-Light/Thermographic scope. It features the Smartlink II system combined with a rangefinder, and for more improved accuracy, a solenoid trigger to reduce trigger jerk. Compensation for the round is handled by an autostablization stock and a shock pad mounted on the butt of the collapsing stock.
The stock is adjustable to accommodate most shooters body, as well as mounting both shock pads to reduce the recoil of the round, and has an autostabilization stock as well. The collapsing stock itself has three stops to accomodate most arm lengths, while the cheek rest is adjustable as well as a tool that adjusts the buttpad of the stock. The user can collapse the stock as needed, but adjusting the cheek rest and buttpad requires them to be set to the lowest setting and then reset. A tool that is in the buttpad adjusts the buttpad settings. Fully collapsing the stock allows the user to use the weapon in a "carbine" format for ease of handling and storage. Setting these requires at least 40 rounds and is left alone. Practical shooters remember their setting, so they can adjust it to their body. For those who do not reset the adjustments do not gain the extra die when used.

The weapon features a bipod that offers 2 points of compensation when deployed. The collapsing stock offers 1 point from the autostabilization stock, and 1 point from the mounted shock pad. The TAG rail mount can accept any accessories for that system. The weapon can be adjusted for individual firers, add 1 die to the roll, along with the free-floating barrel. The rangefinder and solenoid trigger offers -1 at Long range, and -2 at Extreme ranges. Smartlink II is fitted as standard. Stats for the GN45 scope can be found here.
