Since I tend to develop new systems left and right, I’m also going to include ones that aren’t already incorporated into files.



GBU-34 Laser Guided Bomb

The GBU-34 is a standard bomb fitted with a laser seeker. Unlike most LGBs, it is also designed to penetrate hardened structures. The system has a SHTF (Sensor Hard Target Fuze) for sensing how many floors it has passed through. The max number of floors the bomb can go through in a hardened structure is 5 floors. The bomb itself is based off a 500 kg bomb, and is strenghtened for it's application. The minimum speed for dropping such a bomb is 500 mpt, and has a "range" of 2 kilometers from gliding, which is determined from a 1,000m dropping height. Ranges and accuracy considerably drops as the faster you go, and the lower the altitude, GM's discretion on modifiers till I bother to figure this one out. The aircraft can either self designate for the bomb, or the bomb can accept designation from a forward observer. There is a another version, a 250 kg version is also available. Despite weight, it is operated similar to the 500 kg version. Note that when the aircraft self designates, the pilot must ensure proper aiming while guiding the bomb. The bombs flight usually takes around 15 to 20 seconds while flying to it's target (long time!) and therefore makes the launching platform vulnerable to AAA/SAM threats as well as air threats. Despite this, the LGB is good for knocking out bridges, buildings, and other targets that need a laser scalpel's touch.

Mitsubishi-GM M79 Block IV Missile

Designed six months after the Block I and II Outlaw missiles, the M79 is developed for use with the M379 Remus Main Battle Tank. The missiles chief function is to allow the Remus to lay down Trapdoor mines to provide a rapid, efficient way of creating killzones, or forcing enemy tanks into them. Using a GPS receiver built into the missiles nose, it sets a pattern determined by the TC/G. Available patterns are 1m x 1m square up to a 20m x 20m pattern. The TC/G may set up a pattern such as to form a line or what ever is suitable for employment. The nominal profile is that the missile is launched vertically, with the control fins that flip out, then follows the coordinates, using a ballistic profile, finally levels off and drops it’s ordnance where specified, and the sides in the missile is blown off, and the Trapdoor mines parachute out. The body then flies for a few meters then crashes.

SA-N-47 "Scraper"

Produced by the Tula OKB, the SA-N-47 is a long range SAM used by most Russian ships as well as some foreign navies, though shorter in range to the Javelot SAM system. The system comprises of a launch unit that carries eight missiles that are launched vertically. The system can engage targets within a 360 degree arc, and can intercept low flying aircraft, as well as sea-skimming anti-ship missiles. The system can fire up to 2 missiles per Combat Turn, giving the system a high rate of fire, essential for engagements in a high threat environment.

Special Munitions T-90 Hyper-velocity Anti-Tank Missile System

The T-90 is a hyper-velocity, smart missile with thrust vectoring for a highly maneuverable missile. The weapon is carried and launched from a four round launching rack that holds four missiles. Each missile is sealed in it's container, and when fired, the cover comes off and allows launch. The rear of the container allows efficient blow through for such a weapon. The weapon is simply acquired by the launching aircraft's sensors, then fired. It has standard low-light and thermographic imaging to acquire it's target, and once locked on, it attacks the target. With the thrust vectored engine, the missile can achieve true off boresight launch up to 60º on the side of the aircraft, with a minimal 10º towards the aircraft. This is to prevent damage to the launching platform. When launching, the missile has a sustainer motor to orient the missile to the target, then the missile's main engine ignites, propelling the missile to hyper-velocity speeds. While not as truly effective as some missiles, the missile is particularly lethal to light and medium armored vehicles as well as some buildings as well. The launcher itself mounts four missiles, and loading/unloading missiles onto the launcher requires two minutes per missile. Additionally, the missile is available for use on ground vehicles as well. Special Munitions offers different styles of mounts for optimum use of this missile system.

Special Munitions Model 408 ATGM

The Saeder-Krupp Model 408 is the newest missile to come out of the dragon’s company. Using a dual seeker head, the weapon is also optimized for use against tanks, with a secondary role that can be used against other targets if necessary. The weapon comes equipped with a tandem charge warhead, that allows the missile to overcome standard ERA (Explosive Reactive Armor) and against Smart Armor as well. Standard homing is either by a laser designator or the use of a Radar Designator either on the firing platform, or by a designating platform. Upon launch, the missile accelerates towards the target. Upon terminal phase, the missile pops up and attacks the top of the turret. The missile can overcome most CIWS systems now coming on the market (add a +1 modifier to any attacks by CIWS systems). The weapon is of course armor piercing and has a minimum range of 50 meters to a maximum range of 20 kilometers. Other accessories are the use of a four cell launcher similar to the Hellfire launch system of the 20th century. This system weighs 25 kilograms, requires 3 CF to mount, and can carry four Saeder-Krupp Model 408 Missiles. It costs only 10,000 for it, and has the same Availability and Street Index as the missile.

Special Munitions Model 450 AAM/SAM System

The Model 450 is a four-cell, light AAM/SAM developed for short range engagements. With the success of the Vogeljäger SAM, Special Munitions could not be left behind. It uses a dual seeker for optimum engagement of targets comprising of an IR seeker with an active radar homing head. It is highly maneuverable, and can be fired 60º off-boresight of the aircraft, with a 5º limit in respect to the firing aircraft. Most often, this is used for small targets, such as drones, or light helicopters, targets not worth an expensive AAM that can be used for heavier and more threatening targets. Each missile is mounted in a sealed firing tube that also allows transportation. Each missile can be removed from it's launch position and replaced in the field within 10 seconds. In addition to the aforementioned role as an AAM, it can be used with the Model 430 SAM, using the same launcher, offering a modular solution to today's air defense needs. The warhead itself is optimized for high lethality, and is comparable to the Vogeljäger. It can pierce the latest in composite armors, which most threats today are equipped with.

Textron Mk 88 Sensor Fuzed Weapon Dispenser

The Mk 88 SFW Dispenser is a bomb like system designed to deliver 16 self homing warheads to the battlefield, and is used in the face of large masses of armored vehicles. The container is configured like a bomb. (1) When released, the bomb using a GPS reciever, can glide up to 2 kilometers from release point. As soon as it reaches the point, the two halves break open (2), and dispense four BLU-99 submunitions (3). It glides downwards, by a parachute, and uses it's inbuilt sensors (Intelligence 4) and looks for targets (naturally, use the targets Signature rating as the target number) (4). The BLU-99 system carries four skeet warheads (5). As soon as detected, it will launch a skeet warhead at each target (5). The skeet warhead has an EFP (Explosively Formed Projectile) warhead that will form itself vs. the type of target. Against tanks, the warhead will form into a cone, and use some portion to negate any form of ablative armor on the vehicle. If present, damage is 2D for the armor, and 8D for the armor below. If ablative armor is not present, damage is 10D and are both armor piercing. Against soft targets, such as light vehicles, or SAMs, it will break into little balls. Damage is resolved, as the whole mass equalling 10D explosive. Optimum height for effectiveness is 200 meters, and the parachute submunitions take 5 turns to fall to the ground. UIM-194 SLSAM

Designed for underwater air defense, this is capable of engaging and destroying targets up to 5 km. The key to this capability is the use of a combat computer mounted in submarines to integrate with the missiles own targeting system to achieve accuracy unparalleled by other SAMs. When the missile is fired (minimum depth is 50 meters to allow the missile to arm), it is ejected out of a VLS system, breaks out of the launch container, then the rocket motor activates, then the missile continues the intercept. It is also a highly maneuverable missile, able to make tight turns to achieve a kill when engaging low flying aircraft. This missile is able to be fired on the surface, but does not have the minimum range modifier.

Vought Sharpshooter

The Vought Sharpshooter is designed to provide long range SAM coverage in the tactical zone. Using a specialized anti aircraft mount that is mainly designed for use on tanks, or other vehicles with turrets, the Sharpshooter can engage and kill targets up to range of 15 kilometers. The weapon is a radar guided, high velocity missile that is very intelligent. The system normally comes equipped with a millimeter wave radar that is mounted on the turret of the vehicle. This can track up to 10 targets, and engage six simultaneously. However, the current version only carries four missiles, but Vought is currently working on a six cell to eight cell version. The weapon has a minimum range of 50 meters, and as mentioned, it is mounted on a anti-aircraft capable mount. It requires 2 CF to mount and counts as 2 Weapon Points when installing on a turret as well.
