Kasumi

Soün
The owner of the Tendö döjö, and the emotional father of Kasumi, Nabiki and Akane. He is a long time friend of Genma, and had agreed to arrange a marriage between Ranma and one of his daughters.
Entrance: V1.1, Nibunnoichi part 1
Distinctive features: A athletically built man probably in his late thirties, who has shoulder length hair, and a small moustache.
What is known about his wife?
Name, physical statistics and reason of death are all unknown. She had short hair like Akane.
What does he think of his dead wife?
He still mourns her.
Where does he get his money from?
[C4] Maybe he has some money saved away that gets him money (which he got by inheritance), maybe he owns other property and gets rent from it, or has some other source of income. Some fan-fic authors have speculated that it's Nabiki who helps keep the money coming in, but there is no evidence. In the anime (which enhances Soün's poor image) he has occasionally resorted to trying to get students for the döjö, but nothing like this has ever happened in the manga.
Why is he such a cry-baby?
[C1,4] He gets emotional over Akane and Ranma's relationship, and other situations, but not nearly as much as the anime or fan-fics would indicate.
What does he think of Ranma's other girlfriends?
Gets very upset - has beaten up Ranma over it, or tried to.
Akane
The youngest Tendö daughter, and the only one who is training in martial arts. Is particularly admired and loved by the boys of her school, who used to attack her every morning until shortly after Ranma arrived, and beat Kunö. She is pretty, and can be cute, but often doesn't act like a normal girl would and is quite a tom-boy.
Entrance: V1.1, Nibunnoichi part 1
Distinctive features: She used to have long hair, but she now wears it short, and in the manga, except for when she's wearing school clothes, she wears a very varied variety of pretty clothes.
How bad is her cooking?
[C1,4] She's managed to boil water (V23.7), and actually cooked a normal tasting curry (V25.10), and some tasty rice (V26.1) with help of Spring of Life water, but apart from that, her cooking is inedible.
How good is she at feminine activities?
Hopeless at sewing, cooking, being demure, maidenly.
Is there anything she is good at?
She is very good at fashion and has a knack (not that she wants it) of causing boy's to fall in love with her. She's also good at skating, and seemingly at school (she got 86 in a test, and Hinako has referred to her as her best student in V31.7. She is also good at sports - for example, she is the captain of the volley ball team.
Why is she so kawaikune (uncute)?
[C1,3] Gets angry and upset too easily, but when she isn't then she's nice.
Why does she hammer Ranma?
[C1,3] Because he deserves it mostly, and also to relive stress - she seems much calmer afterward.
What does she really think of Ranma?
[C4] She cares for him, and respects him, but her real feelings aren't known. See the section on character relationships for more information.
What does she really think of the engagement?
She hates it initially, is embarrassed about it, but does seem to want it to continue - in V17.5-10 when Nabiki became Ranma's fiancée, she really wanted them to be able to go back to normal.
Why does she fight with Ranma so much?
Because he keeps doing things that make her angry - not that it takes much to make her angry.
What does she really think of Ranma's curse?
[C4] Puts up with it, though she does think he's a pervert.
Does she really not know about P-chan?
It seems so, even though there have been several good opportunities for her to find out - in V14.9 she tipped a hot water onto P-chan, in V16.3 they're together in a 3-legged-race when they fall into water, he's walking with her, holding her hand when he walks into a river in V27.9, and all the vague hints Ranma has dropped.
What would she do if she found out for certain?
Mash Ryöga probably. Then Ranma as well, unless she doesn't realise he must have known.
Who else has she attracted?
Kunö, Ryöga, Shinnosuke (V25.10-V26.11), Sentaro (V6.9-11), Mikado Sanzanin (V3.6-V4.4), most/all the boys at her school, and maybe Ranma?
Is she always getting kidnapped?
She's been kidnapped by Pantyhose (V18.2), tied up by Cologne (V6.6, and V22.9), sort of kidnapped by Lime (V24.1), kidnapped by Safran's order (V37.8).
Nabiki
In the year above Akane in school, she is also fairly removed from the problems that trouble most of the characters, and also takes a fairly relaxed attitude, but she enjoys making money, and isn't too choosy how she does it.
Entrance: V1.1, Nibunnoichi part 1
Distinctive features: She has short hair and rarely wears particularly feminine clothing.
Is money all that matters to her?
[C3] She's very miserly, and doesn't seem interested in finding a real boyfriend. She did once buy a concert ticket (V35.5), though it accidentally got destroyed by Ranma. In the anime, she says she's "On the side of money".
What money-making schemes has she used?
Selling photos of "Osage no Onna" and Akane to Kunö, and photos of Ranma to Kodachi selling a bucket of water to Ranma (V19.7), tells Ukyö the truth that Ranma and Akane aren't married (V19.7), sold Ranma a incense burner (V33.10), tried to get money out of both Ranma and Akane (by offering to break up with Ranma or sell him back to Akane, and she also rented out Ranma for 1000yen/hour) when she's Ranma's fiancée , selling napkins with semi-nude onna-Ranma on them, pretending to take off her clothes, and a few others in V35.5, and she also often dates boys and drains all their money.
What tricks has she gotten up to?
Telling Ukyö that Ranma and Akane were married (V19.6), many and various when Ranma's fiancée (V17.6-10), and also when on a date with Kinnosuke (V29.10-11), giving hints to Nodoka that Ranma's a pervert (V22.3), telling Nodoka that 'Ranko' had been beaten up by a pervert who had stolen her clothes (V34.6), tricking Ranma and Akane into getting angry so they get shot at by a anti-oni plant (V34.1).
Does she ever get angry, or emotional?
Occasionally - Soün betting house against the Gambler King V15.6), Kinnosuke (V29.8), and occasionally at Ranma's actions over Akane.
Has Nabiki loved anyone?
Maybe - in V29.9-10 she said she loved Kinnosuke - but this was almost certainly just a trick. She has pretended to love Ranma, and various suckers for boyfriends.
Kasumi
The eldest of the Tendö daughters, she takes care of the everyday household chores likes cooking and cleaning, and is a quiet and peaceful young lady.
Entrance: V1.1, Nibunnoichi part 1
Distinctive features: She wears her hair over her right shoulder, and wears pretty dresses.
Is she really as simple and clue-less as she appears?
She is rather simple and trusting, but she isn't stupid.
Does she ever get angry, or emotional?
Occasionally - finding out about Ranma's curse, Soün betting house against the Gambler King, and a few times because of Ranma's actions involving Akane.
Why does she do all the housework?
She's taken the role of the main female of the house being the oldest girl. Also, Nabiki wouldn't want to do it, Akane wouldn't be good at it.
