"The book Wicked: The Grimmerie offers fans a behind-the-curtains peek at the musical." (Wicked: The Grimmerie)  It tells how everything was put together including costumes and set design.  "With 192 pages, it also includes photographs of the show, and 'Ozian' glossary, spells, the libretto, a family tree, and the 'greenifying' of Elphaba." The set design for the show was done by Eugene Lee, and the costume design by Susan Hilferty.  The lighting and sound designs were done by Kenneth Posner and Tony Meola (Wicked: The Grimmerie). 
The first national tour of Wicked took place in 2005.  "Wicked is the first show in decades to run on a permanent basis simutaneously on Broadway and in Chicago's North Loop theatre district." (Wicked: The Grimmerie)  Wicked had also broken the record for the highest weekly box office gross in Broadway history.  The record was previously held by The Producers.  "The show had a $14 million capitalization.  In its first year it grossed more than $56 million." (Wicked: The Grimmerie)  Wicked is set to premiere in London in September of 2006.
