| "WHEELER! KWAME!" Kwame and Wheeler turned their heads to look at Linka moving towards them. Linka grabbed Wheeler and held him tightly. "Oh, Wheeler! I thought that Kamek killed you! Thank goodness!" Wheeler remained motionless while Linka cried joyfully into his shoulder. Kwame would not look at them. Something barrelled into the side of Kwame, and he flew. He looked down to see Gi with her arms wrapped around him. Gi said nothing but pulled Kwame towards Linka and Wheeler. "I'm so glad to see you all," Gi said, "I thought that..." "Where's Ma-Ti?" Linka asked. Wheeler tried to speak, but no noise came out. "Dead," Kwame said. Gi and Linka looked at Kwame and then back at Wheeler, who only nodded silently. "We're dead. Ma-Ti too, probably. Kamek killed us." A look of shock and understanding appeared on Gi and Linka's faces. Ma-Ti appeared in front of Kwame. To be continued... |
