| "Wind." David coolly stated while the Planeteers looked where Kwame and Wheeler once sat. They all turned to look at Linka who stared at Planet. Planet strode towards her fluidly. "Captain Planet! No!" Linka pleaded with her approaching exuctioner. "Help us! Fight him! You can do it! Where's Gaia? No! Cap--" She stopped. Her face twisted violently. She turned red and then a dark purple. The others could see what it was. Planet made a wind funnel around Linka's head. Removing air from around her, choking her. Suddenly Linka's violent movements stopped. And she slumped down in her chair. Dead. "Water," David causally continued. Planet moved to Gi and bent over. Gi tried to move back and away from Planet; it was no use. Planet moved in and placed his lips firmly on hers. Ma-Ti could see water dribbling from their locked lips. Her eyes were wide with terror. Her cheekes puffed out, and her throat stopped swallowing. Eventually her struggling stopped, and her eyes stopped darting around. Planet moved back, and her head slumped down. Water mixed with blood poured from her mouth onto her shirt. David nodded nonchalantly. "Heart," David said before thinking to himself. Planet started towards Ma-Ti. "Wait!" David yelled. Planet stopped dead in his tracks. Ma-Ti looked at Planet and David. David explained why he stopped him. "Sorry it's just that you'll be the last person who'll talk to before I begin returning the world to its proper state. I've decided to answer a few questions I'm sure you must have. One: where is Gaia? I have no idea, but I'm sure she has realized that she has no chance of fighting me and has given up. Two: how can I control Planet here? Simple, I have all these rings and a much stronger will and influence over him than any of you did. Three: how will you die? This one's my favorite; you see any way someone dies, that's misuse of the power of Heart, but I prefer the literal definition." When David stopped talking Planet shoved his hand within Ma-Ti's chest and ripped out his heart. David looked at his acomplishments, rubbed his hands eagerly, and said to Planet, "Well, let's get started." Planet nodded, grabbed David, and lifted into the air and flew away. Part 16 |
