From The Start...
Thinking of you all the time,
Knowing you're worth more then a dime.
All I've got is an image of you,
And that makes my heart split in two.
All I need is for you to make it mend,
For you to be my special friend.
Everyday these tears fall to the ground,
Wondering when you'll come around.
It makes me sad to be here alone,
Singing softly in every tone.
And while you are not here with me,
We cannot hold each other happily.
One day fate will bring us together,
Then we can be together forever.
There will always be a place for you in my heart,
But I already knew that from the start.
Late Night Thoughts...
Lying in bed,
I'm tired but awake.
Thinking of the steps
I'll have to take.
To win your heart,
and be your friend.
To be together,
In the end.
These thoughts they come,
So late at night.
As I write this poem,
In the pale moonlight.
My body fights,
To go to bed.
But my hand continues,
And writes instead.
So please tell me what I can say,
And what I can do.
To be awarded,
The love from you.
It's now dawn,
And I'm still fighting.
Because my hand kept me up,
All night writing.
But now I finish,
With what I wanted to say.
That I'll always love you,
In every possible way.
Paths
Cast away into the rain.
Feared by the rich, the poor, the sane.
Who will come to save my soul?
A friend, family, someone I know?
Or will it be a stranger?
One who's afraid of no danger.
Will they show my eyes the light?
The hunger for life, their reason they fight.
If given the chance, will I choose to go?
To leave everything, and all that I know?
Just to be given a "better" life,
Everything comes with a sacrifice.
The choice has now been handed to me.
Yes, or no. I must pick carefully.
The possibilities end if I say "yes",
All would end, including my quest.
So no, I'll say "no" and go my own path.
I chose to walk it, and I won't look back.
Welcome
Welcome to the night
where the sun shines bright
Welcome to the graves
where the dead now parade
Welcome to the sky
where the birds never fly
Welcome to the woods
where friends do no good
Welcome to the world
where hate is up hurled
Welcome to the game
where there is only pain
Welcome to life
where your soul is used as a sacrifice
Welcome to my bed
where these thoughts come to my head.
04-20-04 8:00pm
Tuesday night was hell and a half
as I drove my car, it ended in a crash
I did not panic I did not cry
because I knew, she was safe by my side
If she would've been hurt I don't know what I'd do
but I would have said "sorry for what I've put you through"
I know this poem isn't enough for what I did
but for her, my life, I'll always give
I Just Don't Know Anymore
Thinking, the hardest thing for me to do...
Because every time I try... my thoughts sway towards you...
I remember once, when we were together,
You broke my heart, then, and now after.
I'm thinking of you everyday...
Your face, your smile, they never fade away...
The love you had, for me in the past...
Kept me thinking it would always last...
But the beauty of your smile was covered in lies,
And there was betrayal in your sweet brown eyes.
And I still can't remember,
Why we never stayed together.
Something happened and you didn't want me to know,
I tried to find out, but you told me to go.
A moment later I awake late at night.
I'm in a panic thinking: "Is everything alright!?"
Was it true? Or was it a dream?
Are you still in love with me?
If I called, would you hang up?
Or would you joke and say I worry too much?
I'm going to try, I'll soon find out,
After it happens I'll no longer be in doubt.
I need to call you, I want to know,
Now I'm picking up the phone... Here I go.
More and More
Giving up, giving in,
It's not a mistake, I'll make again.
I need you, Without a doubt,
I don't care, If the whole world finds out.
Every time I see you, I love you even more,
More with every passing day, more than each before.
If I ask you again, Just don't say "no",
This time I won't quit, I'm not going to go.
I need you here, please stay with me,
Let's be together for eternity.
Every time I see you, I love you even more,
More with every passing day, more than each before.
All these feelings I have are inside,
Anytime I try & say them, they get up and hide.
You've never understood the love I have for you,
So I'll write it down, so you can see it's true.
Every time I see you, I love you even more,
More with every passing day, more than each before.
Beautiful, Unrevised
Here is a girl, who is more then fair.
Gorgeous, with long dark hair.
Her magnificent eyes,
Light up the skies.
Down from heaven, she shines on this land.
Now only if she will come take my hand.
Her embrace is like the shining sun,
Warm and loving when it's all said and done.
The time spent with her flows far too fast,
If only time would stop so we may last.
Peaceful as a lamb, showered in bliss,
Can't I just ask for one simple kiss?
Please say you love me, and let me hear,
Make these eyes shed a tear.
It's hard to believe I've fallen in love,
With an angel that came from the skies above!
The Inquisitor
Boredom seeps into my mind,
As I search for something I'll never find.
I hit a question like walking into a door,
Do I know what it is I'm looking for?
What am I doing? Why am I here?
What is this chill, this cold, this fear?
These thoughts pour into my head,
Feeling if I take more, I'd rather be dead.
I have to stop, think, and step outside.
The grass is green, the clouds stretch wide.
It calms me down, breathing deep and slow,
Looking up, I see clear through the falling snow.
Just take it one day, just the next in line.
If you look hard enough, you'll find there's time.
To solve the riddles you're questioned with.
So in the end you'll say, "I can answer this."
Memory Lapse
Demanding a poem,
You give and you get.
But this will be one-
You won't forget.
This is a poem-
Above them all.
Read by the short,
The medium, and tall.
Giving you lies,
Showing the truths.
Warming you with comfort,
Then chilling down with abuse.
This poem is like no other,
Forcing you to submit.
The one, and only problem is-
I forgot the rest of it.
Bygone Vision
Do you hear the voices in your head?
Telling you of all the things you should have said?
Remember, it's in the past, it's done for, it's gone.
If you never made it happen, then it never did belong.
So answer me on why I still hear these sounds,
When everyone, or no one is around.
The cries of suppressed memories, of broken bonds.
The screams of what could've happened, the forgotten songs.
Are the 'yesteryears' the only thing you see?
Or is this undistorted past only seen by me?
Story's Life
Writing on a pad,
The power of the pen.
If you know how it will start,
You'll be able to create an end.
The stories of our lives,
The ones we reminisce.
Whether it's the rainy days of sorrow,
Or the sunny days of bliss.
Everyone in this world,
Has their very own mind.
Unique and different stories,
Each and every time.
Why don't I write it down,
This life in which I live?
Maybe I don't want to hear,
"Ah, so that's the life of his."
Just The Same
Living for the moment,
And dying, just the same.
Fighting against the clock,
Just to play the game.
Pushing for the answers,
Finding only lies.
Trying to learn about one another,
Unraveling their disguise.
Working towards unemployment,
Slacking, and gaining fame.
Asking for forgiveness,
Just to place the blame.
Knowing allies are enemies.
Opposite being truth too.
Sacrificing everything of knowledge,
Just to learn about you.
Reunion of Two
A reunion of two,
Just me and you.
Who knows how many months,
and years gone through.
There were no "hellos",
there were no "goodbyes".
No one was laughing,
no one cried.
A day like all days,
when we parted our ways.
Nothing seemed strange,
much like today.
Small talk of the past,
bits of now and then.
Not much has changed,
but much can.
The end of a friendship,
the start of anew.
A reunion of two.
Just me, and just you.
Ask Again
I look at your picture, I look in the mirror
And ask myself, Why I'm still here
Without you.
What the fuck's going on?
What did I do wrong?
To hurt you?
How did it come to this?
I said "goodbye" with one last kiss
I'm sorry.
I never should have made that trip
I should have hung from your lips
Forever.
But now you're gone
And I ask again, What did I do wrong?
It's over.
Stupid Brain
Somebody stop me!
I'm going insane!
I'm using it too much,
This thing called a "Brain".
Knowing things I shouldn't.
Using logic and insight.
Solving problems with ease,
As simple as flying a kite.
Thinking is what I do,
Not what I've become.
I long for the ignorance.
The bliss of being dumb.
But I lack in what it requires.
It's too far beyond me.
So strip away my memories,
And insert instead, some idiocy.
Rainy Days
It's Raining down, just on me,
So very hard, that I can barely see.
The sun's so very far away,
And the people basking in the light always say;
Just let it out, and it will be okay,
Shout all your pain and worries away.
But I say, that if I do,
Your skies will no longer be blue.
They'll turn cloudy, dark, and grey.
As you'll start to worry my worries each day.
So I have to store it up, leaving it bottled in my mind.
To keep the rain from falling into the eyes of the blind.
Forever
"Nothing lasts forever",
Is what they say to me.
Because 'forever' lasts just as long-
As the beholder claims to see.
But having you, here with me,
Is all that I would ever need.
I would hold onto you FOREVER,
If it were a possibility.
Deaf Ear
Watching a dream of being with her, in mute,
Leaves an even worse taste then an unripened fruit.
Watching yourself say exactly the right thing,
As you try listening to the words, there is no ring.
Seeing a conversation start to unfold,
As you beg your mind for the words told.
Now you're sat down together and she whispers in your ear,
Hoping it's "I love you", but you just can't hear.
Like watching tv with the volume down low,
You know there are words, but you can't hear the show.
Where's the remote to control my mind?
I want to crank up the volume and press rewind.
The Dance
Where's the girl I long to hold,
Dance with, and let the night unfold?
Suiting up, I'm running late,
Rushing out the door, hopping the gate.
Knotting my tie, while racing to my car,
Speeding, to quickly get where you are.
All you told me was you'd be in a dress,
"The rest," you said, "You'll have to guess."
Searching everywhere under the moonlight,
It's dark, even with the stars out tonight.
At last I find you, lying under a tree,
And all you can do is smile at me.
I take your hand and you take mine,
As we make it on the floor just in time.
(So) Dance with me, and hold me close,
You're the girl I love the most.
Sealed
If your feet get tired, just let me know,
I'll carry you where ever you wish to go.
If your eyes get weary, don't say a peep,
Just lean on me and fall fast asleep.
If you start to get chilly, tell me you're cold,
I'll wrap my arms around you in a warming hold.
If your back is soar, no matter the cause,
Even though it may not be great, I'll give a massage.
I'll do anything you say, or want me to do,
Just to show how much I care about you.
If I ask for your thoughts when you finish reading this,
Could you promise to tell me by sealing my lips with a kiss?
Toast to the Moon
I stare at the moon,
And wonder if you're staring at it too.
I'm sitting wide awake,
As the time ticks, and ticks through.
There's nothing to do,
But stare at the moon, in between the times I write.
So I'm thinking of you, as I jot this poem down,
Using my phone as my only source of light.
This trip is too long, and I'm so far gone,
As I try to sleep I don't catch a wink.
The stars are still hidden, as I make a toast,
To you, towards the moon, a silent wish as I take a drink.
I'm longing to come back home to your arms,
So much, so much I wish you knew.
So I stare at the moon,
Hoping that you're staring, and thinking the same thing too.
Every Time
Every time I close my eyes,
Your face is what I see.
Every time I stretch my hand,
With yours it longs to be.
Every time I take a breath,
Your lips are all I feel.
(And) Every time I think of you,
My heart is what you steal.
Our Song
Don't you see?
Don't you see how this dance is killing me?
With every step, with every swing.
With every twist, and every lean.
Don't you understand?
Who I'm holding in my hand?
Staring deep into your eyes,
With undeniable beauty, you hypnotize.
Don't you know how long?
I've wished to dance with you to this song?
Why can't you whisper in my ear?
The "sweet nothings" I've always longed to hear?
As the music fades, the end comes to nigh.
I speak to you softly, about to cry:
"Without you, I'll never be okay."
But you just smile, and walk away.
-No title yet-
My lovely darling,
How you entice me so.
With every glance of your eyes,
With every kiss you blow.
The long miles you're away,
Can seem like nothing at all,
From your angelic voice,
During the rare times you call.
The caressing touch,
Of your gentle skin,
Your flowing hair,
In the gusty wind.
You're absolutely perfect,
So beautiful, you glow.
And if you just say the word,
I'll be with you, wherever you go.
Instructions
It's now time to start a rhyme,
So get out your paper and pen.
Let's find something that's in your mind,
Think hard, and let's begain.
First think clear on your topic now,
The sun, the rain, or the sea.
A poem of one you've loved and lost,
Or with one you wish you could be.
Next you add your content,
Using all the words you'll need.
If you can't hear the line, just give it time,
Because from your heart and soul it'll feed.
You can make it insane,
Or make it happy.
Put in a joke,
Or keep it sappy.
This work of art is yours,
So make sure you get it done.
But if you're too desperate to finish,
You may lose your fun.
When your piece is ready and complete,
There's just one thing left to do.
Keep it to yourself, share with the world,
Or just to the one you wrote it to.
