So, if the mini bio isn't enough
for you, here I will delve into more of just who I am. As you have seen already, I
absolutely HATE math. I mean, I know how to use, it, it's just that I
HATE doing it. Just look at my SAT scores to see how much more I hate
math than English. But of course, I am not going to put up those
embarrassing scores for everyone to see. :-)
Being the anime fanatic that I am, I
finally got enough motivation to create a webpage of my own! A lot of my
life involves anime, from watching lots of anime week to week, (Thank
GOD for anime rentals!) decorating my room with wallscrolls and posters,
building Gundam models, and sketching my favorite anime characters in my
sketchbook. It sounds like I have no life...and you might be right on
target! I do, however love practicing Kung Fu. (yes, the constantly
changing martial art styles...) It's so very cool, and makes you look
cool while doing it!
With a person such as me who is obsessed
with all things anime, I think it is very unfortunate that I am not
Japanese raised and born. Why do you ask? Well, if you are Japanese and
understand the language, you'd be in the best position to enjoy the art
form of all art forms! The good thing is, is that I get to learn
Japanese over at UCLA even though I *should* be learning Tagalog since
I'm Filipino. Oh well.
People usually view me as simple, a
bit tomboyish, and kinda weird. But then again, everyone has to be weird
in some way, or else they would be really boring, ne? I make up for my
lack of "normalness" with some pretty good grades at school
though. Before I finish writing on this page, I'll tell you some stuff
about my anime faves:
Hino Rei / Sailor Mars
(Sailor Moon):
Of course this
is one of my faves! this page is dedicated to her! I totally admire the
way she acts with confidence and conviction whenever she sets her mind
on something. She can also kick butt whether she is transformed or not!
Oh yeah! See more praise for Rei at my Rei Shrine!
Trowa Barton (Gundam Wing):
Sure, he is the
quiet type (ok, the VERY quiet type) but...I can't really explain it in
words :-). He is calm, cool, and collected, not to mention tall, dark
and handsome. Those piercing green eyes just make the girls melt. Oh
yeah, check out his hair! Definitely Cool.
Katsuragi Misato (Evangelion): Being one of the
few older and mature anime leads, I just love her humorous antics and
the optimistic view she has of life. The way she cares for others is
something to imitate. Oh yeah, she can kick some butt too, packing a
loaded pistol! Oh yeah.
Higurashi Kagome (Inu Yasha):
She's cute, she's impulsive, and she's the
reincarnation of a demon-busting miko! That and most of
Takahashi-sensei's heroines are just so darn likable!
Kamiya Kaoru (Rurouni
Kenshin): She
is just so cool, especially since she is a woman who can fight for
herself in a world ruled by men. Her impulsive nature and general straightforwardness
is what attracts me to her character.
Sagara Sanosuke! (Rurouni Kenshin):
He is
just too cool for words! See him punch out whole armies of baddies with
his shirt wide open and hardly breaking a sweat! Ooo...
Yukishiro Enishi (Rurouni Kenshin):
just made it to the top of the list recently...*sigh* He's a psycho, but
a very cool psycho. He's got style, kick butt sword techniques, and one
interesting sister complex. Uwaaa..... I'll add more on why I like him
so much later...when I figure that out myself! :-p
Of course I love the whole Sailor Moon crew because they are just so
funny when they are together! The same goes for the Ranma 1/2
gang. Each
anime character in these series has their own unique type of
appeal.
