Fifteen cards
What you need? All you need is a borrowed deck.

The Trick: Ask your spectator to randomly choose any fifteen cards from the deck at random.  After they  deal 15 cards down onto the table, square up the pack  and get a glimpse of the bottom card.  After this is  done, set the deck down and leave the room.  The rest  is easy.  Instruct them to pick any card out of the  pack and memorize it.  Then tell them to place it on  top of the deck, and proceed to singly cut the deck as  many times as they please, to ensure it is thouroughly  lost in the deck.  After they are satisfied, have them  put the deck in dealing grip, and name to you, from  top to bottom, all fifteen cards.  Once you hear the  name of the card you saw (from the bottom), the next  card he says will be his card.
The trick is so simple that it is almost embarassing  teaching it, but the effect is astronomical.  For the  patter, I usually say "my uncle is a P.I and he  studies the voice patterns when people speak.  I will  now try do do the same thing, but with cards."
