Dear Diary,
Hi it's me, Christine...I know I haven't talked to you in a while but I just got some news I need to tell you, mom is finally going out with that Nick guy I kept telling you about. When I got with Grissom to the beach yesterday I could tell, mom and him were in love, and they were kissing like crazy the whole damn time...will they were after they said the I love you thing.
As soon as mom told him she loved him they couldn't kept there icky adult hands off each other, it was sick, don't they know I can only take so much. They didn't even hand me a barf bag for the ride home, and I needed it. The way mom kept whispering in his ear when they through I was asleep, gross!
Boy am I glad I left that jackass Mike, ok will he was the one who dumped me but I sure as hell didn't cry about it. I was thinking on doing it as soon as I had seen the black haired bitch whisper to him in the Caf� two month's ago bitch. John came up to me yesterday while I was sitting with Lindsay and he was telling me how Mike had asked him to tell me he was sorry and he wants to hook back up will forget him.
Maybe I'll see if John wants to hook up or something, he's cool, we've been friends for a few years, don't we have a chance? Ok will like I was saying about mom, I am glad and all but you know, I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to have a kid brother or sister real soon. And adults think teens don't know anything, we sure as hell know what they do............
I was thinking, that I could become a CSI like mom, I can stand all the blood and body parts, it nothing...piece of cake. If I want to become a CSI I better start learning all the stuff I need to know. If I do get to become one, I want to work with mom and Grissom and the rest of them, and I want to stay in Vegas. I'm not saying that living with grandma in Frisco is bad or boring, but I get to see mom and them a hell of a lot more and John too.
Ok so Catherine's kid Lindsay, she pretty cool for an 11 year old. Her eyes almost popped out of her head when she seen the suit grandma got me, that was funny. I think she found it cool but she was a little freaked about it. I was when I had first seen it too, but now I'm real glad grandma got it for me because I love it. She never told me how mom would react about it, and to tell you, I kind of through it would have been better if she had told me to wear my shirt.
But no, she asks if grandma got it, and then she says she got worse stuff, gross! I think I'm going to have a lot of fun here, hanging out with Lindsay, John, the gang, mom going to the lab when I'm allowed, this will be so much fun, and I can't wait. Will I got to go, mom's calling me and I think were going to the mall...girls night out with Catherine Lindsay and maybe Warrick and Greg's girlfriends. Will when we get back from the mall and where ever else were going I'll tell how it went, and if I see John because I heard he works at the mall, see ya.

"Christine, come here" Sara called her, Christine shut her book and put it under her pillow and then ran out of her room. "Hey mom, you called?" she asked as she walked into the kitchen.
"Yes I did, are you ready to go?" Sara asked as she put the last of the dishes away in the cupboard "I just need to put on another shirt" Christine said "ok hurry up" she nodded and ran to her room.
She changed her top from the one she had one to a 'far out' one. She grabbed her CD player and her purse and walked out. She had shoved her player in her purse and put her earphones around her neck.
"Ok mom, ready" she called walking to the hallway to put her shoes on. Sara walked into the hall, with her purse and car keys "were going to Catherine's to get her and Lindsay, but Rannie and Jade can't come today so it's just going to be us" Sara said.
"Its ok mom" she said as she and Sara headed out the door to the car. "Can I get a new CD?" she asked Sara as they got in the car "depends what it is" Sara said "it's Sweetwater Live At Last" Christine said.
"Sweetwater? I haven't heard one of there songs since I lived at home, how did you find out about them?" Sara asked as they pulled out and got on the road.
"Grandma has there records still and I found them when I was going through your room, we were cleaning it and I found them" Christine said. "I have one of there songs on my CD, want to hear it?" Christine asked as she took her CD out of her player. "Ok" Sara said as Christine put her CD into the CD player that the Tahoe had.

"God, I haven't heard that in years" Sara said "so mom, what kind of things do you do at your job?" Christine asked. Sara looked at Christine who had a grin on her face "why do you want to know Christine?" she asked "oh I was just wondering, I mean I know you see a lot of blood and dead people and stuff but what other thing's do you do?" Sara smiled even more.

They got to Catherine's and Christine moved into the back seat beside Lindsay "don't we look happy today?" Catherine said smiling "shove it" Sara said to her in a low voice.
"So did Nick just stay for dinner or for the whole night?" she asked again "shut it, or I'll make you" Sara said again, her face red but smiling. Catherine turned to look at Christine "so did he stay?" she asked as Christine looked in the mirror to see her mother's face, she gulped.
"I have no idea, I was out with John all night" it wasn't a lie she was out with John, just not all night, just till about 11pm. "So your telling me that you have no idea if he stayed or not?" Catherine said "yea, anyway I slept till when mom?" Sara looked in the mirror again "I had to come and wake you at 12:15pm" she said.
Lindsay looked at Christine then at her mom "how come Christine can sleep until after lunch but I can't?" she asked. Christine laughed "not till your older kid, at least 13" Lindsay looked at Catherine "she's right you know" Catherine said nodded to her child.
After 5 minutes of them telling Lindsay how she couldn't sleep till 12 they noticed they were at the mall. "Ok so no going off alone" Catherine said looking at both the girls "and meet us at a place and time which we will tell you" Sara said.
They got into the mall and Catherine handed Christine a twenty "ten for you and ten for her, you best hold both or Lindsay might lose it" Christine looked at Catherine "thank you and ok bye" she and Lindsay walked off.
"So if you found out it was Todd Coombs, did you tell her yet?" Catherine asked as they walked to the drink shop to sit and talk. "No I didn't tell her yet" Sara said as they walked into a line "I'm scared about what she'll do when I tell her, I've never kept anything form her, but I've also never had to tell her anything like this" Catherine nodded.
"Will she might take it in a 'oh ok' thing but she might not, she might ask you about the stuff you know about him and your best bet is to just tell her, warn her about these kind of people" Catherine said to Sara as they got to the counter to order.
"May I help you?" the guy asked as he smiled and looked at them in a 'you're so hot' look "two coffees, a salad and fries and two buns" Catherine said to him as he smiled at them both again.
He went away to tell something to the person at the back "bet you he's 17, doesn't have a girl friend and he's horney as hell" Sara laughed.
"That'll be $6.87 please" he said as Catherine handed him the money "thank you" he handed her and Sara the tray with there thing's on it and they walked away to a table to sit and talk.
"So did Nick stay or not I need an answer, your killing me here?" Catherine asked as she took the lid off her coffee and put some sugar in it "Cath" Sara warned.
"Come on Sara, we all know you and him wanted each other since the day you met, so why the hell aren't you telling...did you or did you two not have sex last night?" Catherine asked "you sure know how to get to the point don't you?" Catherine smiled "yep, now answer" Sara laughed.
"What are you going to give me if I tell you?" Sara asked grinning "anything you want, I even do your paper work for the next two week's, please tell me, you're my only source for an answer, I can't get a hold of Nick" Catherine said begging Sara "fine" Catherine sat up straighter.
"Did you two do the dirty last night?" Catherine said as Sara nodded "yep" she grew red and was grinning "YES I knew you would" Catherine said "but I couldn't be sure what with Christine there and all" she said to Sara.
"Oh and Cath, we both have paper work this week" Catherine's face dropped "I guess you'll be pulling a hell of a lot more then doubles" Sara laughed as she looked at Catherine's face, she had forgotten this was there week for the paper week.
"Damn you woman, your evil" Sara smiled as she drank her coffee and started her salad. Her and Catherine sat and ate and drank and talked as Christine and Lindsay walked into Claries.
"So Lindsay what kinds of things do you like?" Christine asked as she and Lindsay walked to look at the necklaces. "Animals, make-up, jewelry...I guess that's it" she said as Christine nodded. "So what do you want to buy, anything in here?" Christine asked her as they walked through looking at all the things.
"Will I see a cool necklace over there, but I don't have enough money" Lindsay said taking Christine over to see it. It was sliver, pink and black and it had a star lying over a moon on a chain of light pink, black and sliver.
Christine picked it up and turned it over to see the price, it was $13.00 plus tax, Christine looked at Lindsay's face she really looked like she wanted it. Christine picked up the necklace and walked back to the chokers and picked up the one she had been eyeing and walked to pay.
She handed the cashier $25.00 and she gave Christine her change and the two things in a bag. As they walked out of the store Christine took Lindsay's thing out of the bag and handed it to her "here you go" Lindsay smiled "thank you Christine, thank you so much" Christine smiled "your welcome Lindsay" they walked around to more stores talking and laughing.

After a few hours of Catherine and Sara going around stores and talking, and Lindsay and Christine doing the same the four met at the food court. Lindsay and Christine got a drink and a taco and sat with there mothers, who both got another coffee.
"So did you two have fun?" Sara asked "I did!" Lindsay said "Christine got me the necklace I was showing you mom" Lindsay said as she showed them smiling and then said thanks to Christine again.
"I got Sweetwater's Live At Last CD and I also got a new shirt and a chocker" Christine said as she handed her bag to Catherine.
Catherine took the shirt out of the bag it looked like something a hippie would wear. "Flower Child Christine" Catherine said as she and Sara smiled and laughed. "Hey, mom don't you still have the thing's grandma got you" Christine asked "ya but most of it's still back in San Fran. I never brought it with me, I was in a hurry you know that" Sara said. "Can we go and get it on Saturday?" she asked "I'll talk with your grandma...and Grissom, see if he let's me take the weekend off" Sara said.
Catherine looked at the CD Christine had "how did you hear about Sweetwater? They were around in the late 60's, Sara wasn't even born" Catherine asked Christine.
"I like things from the 60's and 70's and Grandma is still a hippie at heart and her and mom were so cool when I was little. Playing thing's on the record player, we never got a CD player till I was 9 but I didn't care. They were...what do you call them mom?" she asked Sara.
"Living in the past, I was still dressing like a Flower Child at Woodstock, infect I stopped when I came to Vegas" Sara said "but all my thing's are back home...I didn't know how my impression of a Flower Child would be on all you here in Vegas" she said smiling.
"So when you go back to San Francisco your getting your stuff and your going to bring it here so I can see it...I think I might still have some thing's you'll like Christine" Catherine said as she smiled "cool, thanks" she finished her taco and then her and Lindsay went to get an ice cream.
"Tomorrow we have work, what are you doing with Lindsay?" Sara asked "will I was leaving her with my sister" she said "ok Cath, do you think I'll get in trouble if I bring Christine" Sara asked.
"From Grissom, Brass, a few pulling doubles from day that likes us or Lab Tech's no, but from Eckile, you sure as hell would, so you are damn lucky you work graveyard, woman" she said.
"Ya I know...I feel sorry for a few from day shift some times, having him as a boss...jackass" she said as Lindsay and Christine came back to the table. "Mom I'll be right back, John's over at the there" Christine pointed to where they had gotten there ice cream.
"He works at the ice cream shop, so I'm going to talk with him for a few minutes, k?" she asked. "Ok, but don't be long were going soon" Sara said "ok" then she walked off to talk with him.
Christine had spent over 15 minutes over at the Ice Cream place talking with John and she had gotten a job there when she turned 15, in a few months as it was August and her birthday is in November.
"Christine, time to go" Catherine called as she and Sara and Lindsay were walking towards her and John. "Ok, will I got to go now" she said "ok, I'll see you later Chris" he said waving "ok bye" she walked towards her mom, Catherine and Lindsay.
They dropped Catherine and Lindsay off at home and Sara and Catherine had seen the Tahoe in the drive way "Grissom's home" she smiled as they got out. "Thanks for today, it was fun" Catherine said "ya thanks" Lindsay said before she ran to the front door and opened it.
As Sara and Christine pulled into the drive way of Sara's place Christine put her CD back in its case and put it in the bag. She and Sara got out and locked the doors then walked to the front door, Sara unlocked it and they walked in. Christine headed to her room and Sara headed to the kitchen.
When Christine got to her room she put her CD into her CD player as she took out a book Nick had given her, Scrubs on Skates by Scott Young. He had also given her other books about the science of being a CSI.

Sara came to her door "dinner will be ready in an hour and Nick's coming over" Christine nodded "hey mom?" Sara looked at her "yes?" she asked. "Did you know that the book Alice in Wonderland and the song White Rabbit are about thing's you would see when you are on drugs" she said "and just how do you know this?" Sara asked her daughter.
"I read it on the net, Sydney took me when we were talking on MSN and think about mom, read the lyrics to the song, think about the book...all the hint's are there" she said to her mother in a 'duh' kind of way.

Christine walked into the kitchen and grabbed a glass and opened the fridge, and then she heard her mom and Nick in the living room. She seen the pot on the stove bubbling over and the thing cooking in the oven was ready to come out.
She closed the fridge and put her glass down; she turned the stove off and removed the pot and put it onto another burner and stirred it then put the lid back on it and then turned off the oven.
She took the tea towel off the hook on the wall and pulled the lasagna out of the oven and put it on top of the stove. She turned the oven off and let it sit and cool before going back to the fridge and taking out the pop.
She filled her cup then put if back in the fridge and walked into the living room, took a sip and was about to tell her mom that she took the thing's off from cooking when Sara jumped up and went to the kitchen.
She found it like Christine had left it "oh my god I though I was going to burn the food" she said "mom, I through you didn't eat meet?" she asked "I don't" Sara said "then why lasagna, it's made with meet" she said. "Half is meet and half is a veggie kind, Nick loves his meet, and he better like this...he has no idea how hard that was" Sara said.
Christine nodded her head and Nick put his arms around Sara's waist "I love you for it and I know it was hard...but you love me and you did it cause you knew it would make me happy" he said and Christine chocked on her pop and Sara kissed him, making her chock even more.

After dinner Christine went back to her room, she put her CD player on again and started to sing and dance around her room to the song.

After she was done dancing and signing she sat down on her bed to read more of the book. Then two hours later she put her book down and walked to the living room "mom I'm going on the computer" she yelled then sat in the seat and turned it on.
She spent till about 2:00am on the computer then turned it off, got a drink then went to her room. She turned off the light and changed into her PJ'S and got into bed. She fell asleep after spending half an hour tossing and turning trying to get comfy.
Sara sat up in a cold sweat and she kept a scream inside not wanting to wake Christine or Nick. But little did she know Nick sat up "what's wrong Sara?" she leaned back into him "nothing" but she wiped some tears away. "Sara, tell me what's wrong" Nick said top her "it's nothing Nick...just a dream" she said after a minute.
"If it was nothing you wouldn't be crying right now, please let me help you" he said to her. "I told you, it was a dream" she said "ok but was it bad?" she nodded "I stopped having these a long time ago" she said quietly "at least I through I had" Nick looked at her.
"What were they Sara?" he asked rubbing her back to calm her down "the attack?" she nodded "almost exactly but Christine's there...I don't want her to get hurt" he hugged her as she cried. "It's ok Sara, nothing is going to happen to her, your mother or you again, you're all ok" he said to Sara.
"How can you say were ok Nick, oh ya sure he's getting life, maybe death but what about Kevin...you didn't hear him when we were at his place...he knew who I was" she said breathing heavy pushing the covers off of her.
She stood up and almost ran out of the room her nightgown flowing off her body as she went. Nick got up and followed after her, he found her standing inside Christine's door, watching her sleep.
He wrapped his arms around her waist "see? She's ok Sara, nothing's going to happen, and she's smart she'll be ok" he told her as she nodded. "I want her to be ok, I don't want her to be mad" Sara said.
"Why would she be mad?" he asked in a whisper "I don't know...I just feel like she'll be mad at me" Sara said as Nick lead her back to her room. "Tomorrow we have work, so before we go just tell her what you know and then show her the file at work" Nick said to her as she found herself back on the bed.
"Ok Nick, I'll do that, but make sure I don't chicken out" she said as she kissed him and rolled on her side into his body closing her eyes. "Ok I will Sara, good night" he said as he kissed the top of her head and closed his eyes.
