As members of the Mature Fan ClubTM for the Backstreet Boys, we would like to
take a moment to express our support and love for AJ McLean in his recent
decision to enter a treatment facility for alcoholism and depression. His
courage and honesty can be a lesson to us all.

We are asking the media to join with us to wish AJ well in his recovery. We
will continue our ongoing support of AJ as he returns to the tour and to his
fans. We are proud that AJ's family, friends and the other Backstreet Boys
have made such a public commitment to help AJ in any way possible. We are
pledging our full support to AJ, his family, each of the Backstreet Boys,
and the Backstreet security team. The Mature Fan ClubTM would like to be the
first to say "Welcome Back, AJ!"

We are confident that his treatment will be a positive experience for him.
AJ himself sought help for his problems, which indicates that he is ready to
embrace a healthier lifestyle. Many of our members can personally relate to
the issues that AJ is facing. We count doctors, counselors, nurses,
teachers, mothers, accountants as members, many of whom have suffered
through depression themselves. Our message needs to be one of hope to those
still suffering alone. We would like for younger fans especially to
understand that reaching out for help is a positive first step. We would
like to educate others about the debilitating effects of alcoholism and
depression and encourage them to seek professional help.

Again, "Welcome Back, AJ".the best is yet to be!

With Love and Support,
