When Xander picks up Buffy's stake a girl walks down the hall. We see her walk the other direction later.
When Buffy stakes Thomas the stake doesn't go near his heart.
Trivia
Nicholas Brendon was 25 years old when cast as Xander. He was older than most of the cast.
The WB was unsure how to market Buffy beacause of the comedy as well as horror and drama.
Bianca Lawson (Kendra) origanally was cast as Cordelia Charisma Carpender cast for Buffy, Sarah Michelle Gellar also tryed out for Cordelia and Julie Benz (Darla) tryed out for Buffy.
Buffy Summers is a new student at Sunnydale High. She moved from L.A. trying to leave her past behind. On her first day of school, she meets Cordelia who tries to make her join her popular group. Buffy meets Xander, Willow, and Jesse and they become friends. She goes to the Library and meets the Librarian, Mr. Giles. He knows she's the Slayer, and pulls out a book that scares Buffy off.
A dead body is discovered in a locker. The body has two holes in his neck and his blood is drained. Buffy goes to Giles after investigating and tells him about the body. She doesn't want to be the Slayer and he says she has no choice. He tells her that it was no coincidence that she moved to Sunnydale, center of mystical activity. She leaves and Xander appears from behind a shelf unsure what to make of thier conversation. A vampire, Luke appears in a cave in front of a pool of blood chanting,
At her house Buffy is preparing for the Bronze while her mother tells her that she thinks they are going to like it here. On her way to the Bronze, Buffy senses that she's being followed. She runs into an ally, and a minute later a guy steps out from the shadows. She swings down from the pole above him and she knocks him down. He says he won't bite and warns her about the Hellmouth and the Harvest. He gives her a cross necklace and she leaves.
At the Bronze Buffy talks with Willow and tells her to seize the day. Willow leaves and Buffy sees Giles overhead. She goes and talks to him and he tells her she should spot a vampire easily. She spots a vamp talking to Willow and they leave together. Buffy rushes out and attacks Cordelia on accident. We see Jesse talking with Darla, the vampire from earlier. The Master rises from the pool of blood and requests something young to eat. Buffy runs into Xander and he knows she's the Slayer. She asks about Willow and he hasn't seen her and Buffy tells him that she could be dead by morning. The vampire throws Willow into a mosoleum. Darla the vampire from earlier appears with Jesse. Buffy and Xander shows up and Xander gets Willow and Jesse out of there to safety. Buffy fights and kills one vampire while Darla leaves to get the others. Luke, a giant vampire appears from behind Buffy. He throws her into a coffin and leans in for the kill.
