Buffy breaks into the Trio's Layer, finding it deserted. She finds traps all over which includes razors that tear Buffy's jacket. She takes a few items then leaves.
Willow, Dawn, Buffy, and Tara go through the stolen items. The rest of the gang won't help because of lack of interest and other things to do. Anya is sitting with a girl who wishes vengeance, but Anya is talking about her own problems to notice her wish.
In a cave, the Trio kills a demon for its skin so they could pass a magical barrier. Dawn visits Spike in his crypt, and tells him everyone saw him and Anya at the shop. Dawn doesn't understand how he could do that to Buffy. Back at the cave, Jonathan puts on the skin and passes through the barrier. He receives the orbs of Mesolakahn. Warren and Andrew plot to get rid of Jonathan. He gives the orbs to Warren. The orbs give the bearer super-strength and power, almost invincible. Warren kills a demon to tests it and he doesn't even break a sweat.
Buffy tells Xander that Anya loves him and she did a stupid thing. He doesn't understand how Buffy sunk so low to Spike. She says that he will never understand being brought back from the dead, and that her personal life isn't his business. Xander tells her that it used to be. Xander leaves to go mope in a bar and the Trio walk into that same bar.
Buffy comes home from patrol and she is going to take a bath. Spike walks in telling he's sorry, and wants to know if she loves him. She admits having feelings for him, but doesn't trust him enough to love him. He tells her he knows she loves him and needs to admit it. He throws himself on her, and she struggles. She kicks him and Spike is shocked at her, and tries to apologize, but Buffy tells him that she doesn't love him because he tried to rape her.
Warren tries to pick someone up, but the boyfriend steps in and tells him to get away. Warren throws him across the room. Xander tries to stop them but is thrown aside. Jonathan reminds Warren they have to be somewhere and they leave. Xander goes to Buffy, and notices Spike's coat on the stairs. He goes into the bathroom and sees the bruise on Buffy's leg and realizes what happened. They try to focus on the Trio.
Willow and Tara tells Buffy that the Trio are planning to steal from a series of places, starting with one tonight. Xander tells them about Warren's new power. Buffy then rushes to stop them. Clem stops by Spike's and sees him infuriated with him. Spike says that something needs to be done.
An armored car is loading up money when Warren shows up. He tips the van over and Buffy turns up. She fights him, and knocks him against a wall causing it to tumble on him, but quickly recovers. Jonathan jumps on Buffy, apparently fighting her, and quietly tells her to smash the orbs. Warren corners Buffy and she smashes the orbs. Warren is weak again, but takes off his jacket to reveal a jet pack. He flies away. Andrew also reveals that he has one but when trying to get away, he just knocks himself unconscious on the overhanging roof. The police come to arrest Jonathan and Andrew. On his motorcycle, Spike looks back at Sunnydale and promises that Buffy will soon see a change. He takes off.
Willow and Tara get dressed and Tara notices Xander talking to Buffy in the backyard. Buffy tells Xander about the Trio and Spike. Warren comes and yells at Buffy for ruining him. He pulls out a gun and shoots Buffy, and then runs away shooting carelessly over his shoulder. A stray bullet flies through Willow's window, striking Tara in the back. Xander tries to stop Buffy's bleeding, and Willow cries out holding Tara's body when her eyes turn magically red with pain and fury.
Andrew
Spike leaves Sunnydale.
Jonathan and Andrew gets arrested.
Willow and Dawn find out about Spike and Buffy.
Warren shoots Buffy.
Tara also gets shot and dies from Warren.

Oops!
When Buffy and Spike are in the bathroom you can briefly see Spike's foot in the mirror.
Warren shot 4 shots beore it hit Tara. Wouldn't they here the gunshots? They're still smiling.
Trivia
Buffy disovers a Vampirella action figure in the Trioka's lair. Vampirella was a superhero that slayed vampires.
Amber Benson vowed never to return to Buffy for her character Tara. She said dhe wanted her memory to be a good one. Amber later refused a part in 'Conversations With Dead People' to play Tara.
The part at park when the Troika try to break into the van was filmed at Six Flags Magic Mountain Theme Park in California.
Amber Benson was put in the opening sequence for the only time.
