| Buffy is on patrol fighting two demons. The blood of one demon gets on her hand and absorbs into her skin. The gang have very little progress finding out with the ascention. Willow tells Buffy that she should ask Angel what happened with Faith and Willow starts talking about the basketball game everyone is going to except Buffy. Buffy goes to Giles and tells him about how she itches where the blood was absorbed. He says that she may have an aspect of the demon. Oz and Xander watch the cheerleaders and Xander reveals that he has a thing for Cordy while Wesley looks at Cordelia. Buffy worries about the aspect, and that night she talks to Angel about it. Angel says he will love her no matter what she looks like. While Buffy walks through the halls in school the next day Buffy discovers that she can read minds. She tells Giles and he researches while Buffy uses her power to fiind answers in class and listen to Freddy Iverson's mind, who runs the school editorial. He seems to have a serious negative opinion about everything. Buffy goes to Angel's mansion and tries to find out what happened with Faith by reading his mind. He says she can't as he's a vampire, and he says whatever happened meant nothing and he has only loved Buffy. At the Library, the gang finds out about Buffy's new power. Cordelia things what she is about to say, Wesley thinks about Cordy, Xander thinks about sex, Oz is lost in deep thoughts, and Willow thinks about her being left out of things. In the lunchroom, Buffy hears someone say, "By this time tommorrow, I'll kill you all." Buffy passes out from the voices. Buffy wakes up surrounded by the gang outside. She tells them about the killer and they get to work while Buffy goes home. Buffy reads Giles's mind and he thinks she may go insane. At home Joyce is uncomfortable around Buffy. Buffy discovers that she had sex with Giles on the hood of a police car twice. At school the Scoobies interview students and staff to see if they were potential killers. Giles and Welsey find a solution, and Angel brings Buffy the heart of the second demon and some other ingredients to drink. The gang finds everyone except Freddy Iverson. Buffy waes up and discovers she can't read minds anymore. Everyone else surrounds Freddy finally and he says he wanted to hide because he thought they were mad about him dissing Oz's band in the editrial. Buffy shows up and they discover a note from Jonathan about death. They split up to find him and Buffy sees him in the clock tower. She runs up to the roof and goes in the tower and takes the rifle from Jonathan. She says no one cares about his problems because they are worried about their own. She discovers Jonathan was actually commit suicide, and therefor not the killer. Xander goes into the kitchen and sees the lunchlady pouring rat poison into the food. She tries to kill Xander with a knife and Buffy comes and knocks her unconsious. The lady was angry about the kids eating so much food and not gain anything. Buffy and Giles talk and Giles askes her if she's up for some training. Buffy tells him sure if he's not to busy sleeping with her mother. He runs into a tree. |

| Occurences Buffy saves Jonathan from commiting suicide. Xander is jealous of the new relationship between Welsey and Cordy. Buffy finds out about Joyce and Giles having sex. Rating 4.5/5 Oops! How can Jonathan kill himself with a rifle that long with arms that short? Angel doesn't burst into flames in Buffy's room by the sunlight. At the mansion, Angel's necklace moves from outside and inside his shirt. Trivia Regis Kimble who directed this episode also designed the title sequence for Angel. This episode is Sarah Michelle Gellar's favorite. This episode was delayed after the Columbine shootings. |
