John and Lou Hendricks hosted the June 10 ride from their lovely home on the northwest side of Phillips. The largest group for 2009 was on hand to ride an out and back route from Phillips to Highway 70. The ride took place entirely on County Highway F. A few riders turned around and headed back to Phillips before they reached Highway 70. The group continued to stay together until Lugerville. It was at this point that people began to get shed off of the back. By the time the group reached the sprint at County Highway S there were still 11 people in the main group. The winner on the evening was Tom Harris. After the ride the group enjoyed a hearty post ride meal prepared by chef extraordinaire Lou Hendricks. The meal consisted of chicken, sausages, pasta with a marinara sauce, a cold pasta salad and bread. The quote of the evening belongs to Joe Coyle who said, �For a minute there I thought I would have to spit my gum out.�
