Ride Report - July 11, 2007

Blomberg's High Point

East meets West, or Fat Tires meet Roadies. Everyone had their choice of wheels at Blombergs. A number of the Roadies chose to go Fat and ride through the woods and trails around Timm's Hill. The others stayed on the road to enjoy!? the beauty of the area.

Ken Kraft welcomed us all standing at the grill, preparing the dead animal parts for the evenings repast. Maybe a short ride would be in order.

The weather pretty much dictated the distance. It was a cool evening, clouds rolling in on a stiff wind. Just as we started riding the rain started. Not long after the lightening and thunder. That about did it for everybody. We road to Ogema and turned around to return to the welcoming confines of the Resort.

Once we donned dry clothes we bellied up to a table laden with food and goodies. Everyone found something to like, and I'm sure had enough to eat. Since the ride was short, it was a relaxing evening of good food, good drink, and good friends.Thank you Ken! Thank you Blomberg's for hosting us.

Next week will be in Rib Lake at the Frosted Mug, unless Mark Temme decides to invite us back out to the cabin for a swim? We'll see you next week. In two weeks we'll be at John and Lou Hendricks' in Phillips.
