Road Ride Report for Aug. 23

The road group left Ken’s place and headed west on M towards Perkinstown. The group consisted of Joe, John, Mark W, Mindy, Temme-Temme Tandem and Harris-Harris Tandem. The start of the ride was cool with temperatures in the Mid-sixties. The first and only mechanical of the night happened just before highway E when the driver of the Harris-Harris Tandem quickly found out that he hadn’t hooked up his front brakes after putting his wheel on.

After climbing the Hors-Cat. Perkinstown hill the group decided to continue up M past the wonderful smelling pheasant farms. On the ride back the group split into two with the Harris-Harris Tandem holding off Joe, John, and Mark W. for the mailbox sprint
