name phenomenon. Searching for other Flahermans world-wide (we know there aren't any others in North America). Sponsoring an annual essay contest on the benefits of an ethnically ambiguous name. |

Our most important near-term goal is to
reduce the incidence of others mispronouncing our name. While there is
no consensus on how the name should be pronounced, none of the following
are acceptable: "FLACKERMAN" "FLASHERMAN" "FLATTERMAN" |
