TWO MILITARY MOTHERS URGE CITIES TO FLY FLAGS |

I am a mom with a son who is a Sergeant in the United States Army serving in Iraq. During prayer on Tuesday, March 18th the Lord told me I needed to do more to show support to our Troops, their Families and our government. I first contacted a friend, Meg Oberle, who has a son in the United States Air Force also serving in the Middle East to help with this effort. Meg is the wife of the mayor of our home town.
Together this effort is becoming a reality with the Minnesota cities of Belle Plaine, New Prague, Le Center, Arlington, Henderson, Le Sueur, St Peter, North Mankato, Mankato, Mapleton, Wells and Alden all joining in. Cresco, Elma, and Alta Vista, Iowa are also showing their support. I am not sure if there are other cities who have heard our plea and are displaying their American Flags. Now we need to take this further, we must get the message throughout Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota and across our nation.

It would be wonderful if we could go back to the media with a positive statement that more cities have contacted us and are showing their support. We are asking that the cities would support this effort by displaying their American flags along their main streets to show Troops, their Families and our government that WE DO CARE! We would like to see the MID-WEST lead the way as we take our effort across our nation. |
