Resisting

Shattering my senses,
disrupting my path,
the force tore into me.

It ejected my old truths,
it trampled my things.
Nothing would ever return,
nothing is all I see.

I'm sitting on a pole,
I might fall off,
I might just balance,
but I'm blinding my eyes,
I'm turning off any compassion.

What right did you have?
Who told you you're God?
I don't want you near,
your words are clogging my veins.

You've come while I'm down--
you meant to destroy me even more,
but I refuse to allow it,
I will kill myself first.

Shut up, get out,
your face, your hair--
They're what's wrong with me,
they echo in my brain,
even when you leave.
Back home!
