Bob has been a member of AOMCI for about five years, since his wife Geri and daughter Christine took him to an antique outboard motor show in Ft. Lauderdale. When Bob saw the outboard motors and boats on display, including a Mercury 20H, it was love at first sight. He bought a runabout he saw at the Ft. Lauderdale meet, repainting it and everything else in the garage red, and soon he and Geri were attending the races at Lake Placid, Fl. There he met George Koehler (a new AOMCI member). When George showed up at Mt. Dora with his new Sid Craft, Bob lost sleep over that Sid Craft until the night George called and said the boat was for sale. The rest is history. His interest in the racing boat meets has resulted in increased participation at those meets. Over the years Bob has become a valued member of the club and his enthusiasm and dedication to the club are outstanding.
