"Lefty" - A spider monkey, named so for the absence of a left arm. He made up for the lack of limb quite well with a prehensile tail. Loved to turn upside down and stick his tail out of the cage to hold your hand or toy around with you. Went bananas over bananas, and squealed with glee each time the fruit bucket came around in the morning.
"Mickey" - A brown capuchin ... isn't he sweet?? With a face like that, and his diminuitive size, visitors were compelled to fuss over him. But watch out .... he can split the tip of a finger in two with lightning speed. Loved to clog the drainage pipe while volunteers hosed down his cage, just so he could splash and play in the pools of water. Quite a handful, but a lovable one.
Above, two white faced capuchins, Mork and Mindy .... and at their left, I believe, Chucky. Mork and I used to have conversations throughout the day. He used to love having someone just come over and spend some time chatting. Capuchin facial expressions can be very revealing.
To the right, Victor and Zambuka. Victor never did quite come to enjoy human company all that much ... bouncing, fighting, and moving into attack position at the approach of volunteers. But his counterpart, Zambuka, was the sweetest thing. Very gentle, and loved to hold hands. Strong motherly instincts, and a definite "lady".
