My simple Nissan Altima GXE page

Factory spec:

• 2000 Nissan Altima GXE Seda
• Front engine / Front wheel drive (FWD)
• 2.4L (KA24DE) I4 engine (155hp / 160lb-ft tq), 4-speed automatic transaxle
• Silver exterior

Mod:

• None ... maybe a K&N slot in air filter to add 500hp ... LOL

Future Mod:

• None planned, and highly unlikey there will be any

Mod only if I have time and money (or both and if I feel like it):

• Trade it in for another car ... LOL

Driving impression:

This is as boring as it can get. The engine doesn't feel like 155hp. The brakes will bring you to a stop if you don't care about stopping distance. Tons of lean in the corner and the car never felt settled during cornering. Driving position is never really comfortable, it felts crampt. It never felt stable on the freeway, and wind noise is plenty.

There are better ways to get you from point A to point B over a long distance, like riding a bike, bicycle that is. But hey, we can't do that on the freeway, can't we? I am looking forward to the day when I can trade it in for something else.

• Based on about a year of data, this car did about 17,200 miles, which is about 330 miles per week. Its still going ...

• Tires are due to be changed. I need to look for something that's cheap, safe to drive and will last a while.

• I need to find a new set of hub caps for the steel rims, since the old set are beat up and are making noises. Maybe I should check the air filter on it too. Other than those, its still going and I am still looking forward to trading it in some day ... LOL For 2008, we are putting around 465 miles on the car per week, that's about 24,156 miles per year. Not high enough! :D

• Intake manifold gasket and oxygen sensor replaced.
