Kanavy, Owen, born Cathergal, Co. Galway in 1835 to Michael and Julia (Varley) Kineavy of Inishagill. Brothers : Martin, John, Jim, Michael, Pat and sister Kate. Married Sarah Morrin Leydon Kanavy circa 1866 and imigrated to the US. They resided at 2735 Birney Ave. Scranton, Pa.

April 27, 1897, Stephen Kanavy, 28, son of Owen and Sarah Kanavy, married Annie M. Duddy, 23, daughter of John and Margaret Duddy at St. Joseph's Church, Minooka , Pa.They were attended by Margaret Jennings and John Kanavy.

Cemetery Lot:

July 9, 1901, S. Kenevy (Kanavy) purchased Lot 30, Blk 9, West section, in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Deed:

1904 Sarah Kineavey recorded a deed as the gaurdian of Sarah and Mary Cusick, minor children of Mary Cusick, widow of William Cusick, along with Patrick Cusick, son of Mary and William.

Death Notice:

St Joseph's church records list Stephen Kinneavy, 47, burried Oct 1, 1914. Annie Kanavy nee Duddy died Dec. 9, 1932 and both were burried in St. Joseph Cemetery, Minooka, Pa.
