Communication
and Application
All
of these areas will be assessed and evaluated, within the context of the
course. Emphasis will be placed on K/U in regular classroom activities. T/I will be instrumental in the challenges the
students must complete as a part of the class curriculum, C will be assessed on an
ongoing basis ( based on classroom responses and student interactions as well
as written responses) and A will be evaluated based on the labs done in class as well as
challenges and the final practical exam.
In

Missed Tests and Labs
Students will write missed tests or make up missed
labs within 3 days of returning to school.
This work will be done on their own time not class time. Both missed tests and missed labs will be
assessed a mark of 0 until they are made up.
If the test or assignment is not made up, the mark of 0 will stand.
Additional Assignments: Additional assignments may be
provided in instances where a students mark does not accurately reflect their
ability/completion of the course.
Additional Help: I will be available for additional help before
school and after school when possible. I usually arrive before 8:00 am and will
likely be in rm.25. It is advisable that whenever possible you make
arrangements in advance to meet with me at this time as there are always things
to do before the beginning of the day.
Further to this the students will be
shown a web page produced specifically for this course that has additional
information as well as an email address and forum where they can post messages
to me after school or on weekends and get responses from both me and other
students.
Students will be both evaluated by the above guidelines
and assessed regularly.
