Hail to the Class of 1966!

Just let you know that I have been fine but extremely busy with my teaching in different places: CSD in Riverside (H.S. math since 1973), English class for the deaf and two ASL classes at different community colleges (since 1989), and other additional duties: rewriting and revising our CSDR math curriculum in compliance with the 2000 California Math Framework, handling 52 sub accounts in the High School Activity Fund, planning for Western Schools Basketball Classic, participating in some church activities, and doing other little things.

As you probably know, I have been going to Ontario, Canada several times to see my family and old school friends, classmates including Gilbert Lillie,'65, from my school in Belleville, and friends from Gally. More likely, I will go to Sarnia, Ontario via Detroit next month during winter break. I just emailed Gil to ask him if he could spot Melvin (Alfred) Lapinsky who left Gally in 1966 or 1967 and I will email you Melvin's email address if he has one and I do not know whether he is interested in being a part of the Class of 1966.

I saw some pictures of you in the Class of 1966 e-group and I could recognize you all (your face not having much changed since 1966) except James Souza, Ha! I wish I could put a picture of myself but I do not have a digital camera and I will try to find someone who can do in my favor.

For those of you who missed my last message about my family in California, Randy, 26 and deaf, and his newly married wife, Kristie, 26 and deaf, living near Laguna Beach, California and teaching at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA, and Mark, 23 and deaf, just graduating from RIT and taking his last internship at the Community Service for the Deaf in South Dakota with Frank Turk and Soukup last summer. I do not know what and where he has been doing, but I heard he is somewhere at Gallaudet now. Bonnie Schwartz (maiden), ex-Gally '71 and I have separated since 1994 and on good terms although we do not see each other very much.

That is enough for now and I hope we will hear from you about yourself and your life since Gallaudet.

That's all, my folks!

Class of 1966-ly yours,

Gerry Sullivan
