HIGHLIGHTS of 1st Class of 1966 Reunion Meeting Sunday, December 10, 2000 at Elaine Boxer's residence In attendance: Jean Shickel, Annette Black, Elaine Aiello, Mary Lynn Lally and Jini Borggaard. Absent: Al Couthen, Brenda Mitchiner, Ernie Hoffman. Jeanie chosen chair; Jini took notes. Committee members will take turns taking notes. Friday, October 19, 2001 is date for our Class Reunion, with an afternoon cruise on the Potomac. Calls will be made to reserve a cruise ship for this date. Committee will look into hotels near Metro Greenbelt (off I-495) in College Park and Greenbelt. Kellogg Center suites are fully booked. Zero funds on hand so committee members will loan $100 each (8 members = $800) for deposits on hotel and cruise booking as needed. Committee would arrange for a meeting room for Friday night's "get together" of guests staying at the hotel. Light refreshments to be served, possibly hors d' oeuvres for later in evening after Pep Rally at Gallaudet. All class members logged on to e-Group would get updated "Class Reunion" messages periodically. Committee agreed that the 2006 (40th reunion) class reunion event should be held in the Mid-West. In 2016 our 50th Reunion will coincide with Gallaudet's triennial reunion. The Class of 1966 will parade around the track 12:45p.m. Game starts at 1:30 p.m. Class members to do a short skit. Class photo will be taken Saturday morning, at a time to be arranged. No class luncheon will be arranged for, since many food vendors/campus organizations will be selling various foods. There are ample restaurants nearby. Next meeting of the committee will be either Jan 14 or 21.
