A run at the cabin September 11, 2005.
Just for fun {Okay I was bored} I thought I would take pictures of my 5 mile run around Butler lake AKA The mountain goat trail.
Left out of the driveway and up the road.
Take the first left up the gravel road
Here is the first downhill and then up the hill.
The smaller lake is at the bottom of the hill on the left.
Then you turn left at the gravel road.
Then the gravel road turns more into a dirt road which is a mud pit after a good rain.
Then the road goes up the hill at the cornfield.
Then the road levels out.
And then opens up to a field and a really nice view of the mountains.
And then down the hill. This is a long down hill run.
Make a left on route 92.
You can get both kinds of music on the radio to run with at the cabin...country and western and they come from stations named Froggy and Buzzard.
Make a left at the North Jackson cemetery. This is about the half way point.
I see dead people
I call this part "Climbing the wall" I think they should keep an open grave at the bottom to just roll into in case you die on the way up.
This is at the top of the hill looking back on the farm I passed on route 92.
Here is a hound dog that usually comes out to greet me. I don't know his name but I call him "Road Pizza" because he is usually standing in the middle of the road.
I always have to say hi to the cows. Hi cows.
Are we there yet?
Finally the end of this road is in sight
Take a left onto big butler lake road.
Hi horse.
There is our funny looking mailbox.
Okay kids, that's the way that it is done.
Think you can catch me? Think again. :)
