What's new (Tuesday December 28, 1999)
I've added pages on the following routes : 3,8,C, E, H, S, Flagler MAX, Biscayne MAX, and 27th Avenue MAX. And some more are coming up. Added a picture of 1905, too. Another new low floor, 9982, has arrived at CW. I got to look at 9925 for the first time since the accident tonight. It's still in the body shop and will be there well past the beginning of Y2K. It looks like it's in a race with 7020 to see which one gets it's front end picked clean faster....9925 is missing the following: - All it's front panels - Both it's windshields - It's front bumper - It's bike rack (which was attached to the front bumper) - It's front doors 7020 is missing every front panel, farebox and it's headlights....7008 has no mirrors or farebox...7006,7008 and 7026 no longer have high-beam capacity since those two extra headlamps have been removed. More stuff is coming before New Year's so check back often. |

What's new (Saturday December 25, 1999)
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!! It's been an eventful 2 days. At about 5PM Thursday the 23rd, a car flew out of the Dadeland Station shopping center by Dadeland North and hit Blue Bird #1905, which was on Sunset KAT going into the train station. Thankfully no one was hurt, and the bus had little damage. And on Noche Buena (Spanish name for Christmas Eve Night.) itself, Bus # 1912 died on westbound SR 878 (Snapper Creek Expressway) while on the Kendall KAT. I myself had Sunset KAT and bus 1906 yesterday evening. It was a smooth evening, with little traffic after dark. I was the last bus going both east- and westbound, and I had no passengers on my last round trip. Later I got home and I went to Midnight mass. I'm going to really work on this page a little later, right now it's 4:53 PM and time for christmas dinner, which is pernil, otherwise known as lechon asado or roast pork. It wouldn't be Christmas in Miami without it!! :) |

On a dreary rainy evening.... The number of 9900 series NABI low-floors has suddenly skyrocketed. Coral Way has added one more 9900 bus. It's number is 9986, which is an astounding THIRTY-FIVE (35) numbers higher than the previous high number, Central bus 9951. Last week 9925 returned to CW and it's been in the body shop ever since. Paratransit will soon get it's own batch of low-floor buses. A baby low-floor was on display this week at Central and then in Downtown Miami. 7045 is enjoying it's retirement....8011 and 8024 may be right behind. |
