This bus I became very familiar with. From early 1997 until the summer of 1998 it ran on the Route 87. It held down the run that passed by NW 84th Ave. and 12th Street at roughly 5:30 PM every afternoon, heading southbound. It was also the next to last northbound bus, passing by that same bus stop, heading northbound at about 7PM (It left Dadeland North at 6:18 PM...currently that run leaves at 6:22, unless traffic is extremely heavy. Then the schedule goes out the window.). In the summer of 1998 it was replaced by 7024. Later on 7046 replaced 7024, in the spring of 1999. When 7046 was retired in August 1999, 8066 took over, then 8064 in December. The run is now  being made by 8065.  Eventually it ran on Busway Local until the end came....
TOP- A nice side o' Flxible , looking west as boiling clouds loom.
MIDDLE-  The driver's cab.  Everything is there except the door crank (note the raised hole by the lower left part of the steering wheel.
BOTTOM- A shot of the destination sign controller. The 7-, 8-, 9000 and 9201 - 9205 used the older thumbwheel- type controller, made by Trans- dot.  Note the lot #... look closely behind the 6 and you can see a 4 underneath it. When I first rode it it was assigned to lot # 4 inside CW. In March 1998 the 7020's  and 7047 were moved to 6, to replace the RTS' there that were being retired.
