Rules
We all hate 'em, and I've seen almost every one broken, but these are the rules. You must live with them. If you don't like them, I'm sorry, but that's business to be taken up with a Guild Council member. Disobey any of these and it's most likely the punishment will be severe, based on the nature of disobedience. In the most severe cases, you will be blocked from the guild and your charactars will be deleted. We don't care if you're an average Joe or an esteemed Council member, the rules apply to EVERYONE.

Section One:

Candidate and Weyrling Rules
1. Fighting will not be allowed under ANY circumstances.

2. Candidates and Weyrlings may not carry weapons!! If you have a weapon in your possession, I strongly suggest you turn it in to Candidatemasters R'lus and Hailyn, or risk having it confiscated - permanently. Worry not, for they will be returned - provided you willingly gave them up - when you become a dragonrider or choose not to offer yourself as a Candidate.

3. Pets will not be allowed - except for fire lizards (flitts), runners, and perhaps whers - for ANYONE. This means no canines, felines, wherries, tunnel snakes, etc. Three different sections apply with this rule, and they read as follows.
a) As a Candidate or Weyrling, you may only Impress ONE flitt during you time as a Candidate or Weyrling, provided that youdo not already own a flitt.
b) Flitts may not be a queen or a bronze without special permission from the Council. This doesn't mean we don't allow bronzes and golds, but remember, there are other colors, and wee need to maintain a logical balance.
c) You may not go off and "find" a flitt clutch. These and such incidents as mating flights (flitt mating flights included)  must be checked over with our Weyrwoman (See Section Two, Rule 2, sub-rule a)).

4. Candidates Barracks are expected to be kept clean and tidy. There WILL be surprise inspections!

5. As a Candidate or Weyrling, you WILL NOT LEAVE THE WEYR BOUNDARIES!!!! This will result in transfer to another Weyr or expulsion. You are, however, allowed to visit the following places:
a) The nearby cove.
b) The few trails about the Weyr, provided you take a flitt or dragon with you.
As well, young children will not be allowed in the Lower Caverns and unexplored areas unless they are accompanied by one or more flitts, and adult, and tell someone where they are going.

6. The following are not allowed in the Candidate and/or Weyrling Barracks.
a) Foodstuffs, it attracts tunnelsnakes.
b) Parties, they keep people up, waste energy, and there'll be plenty of time for that when you become a dragonrider and get your own Weyr.

7. There will be no romance between anyone but full-fledged riders. This means the following relationships may not occur:
a) Candidate and Candidate, Junior or Senior Weyrling, or rider
b) Junior Weyrling and Candidate,  Junior or Senior Weyrling or rider
c) Rider and Candidate or  Junior Weyrling
Casual flirting in allowed, but not one more toe over the line. Serious relationships confuse and do mental damage to young dragons, who need all their riders' attention. Serious romances will result in the punishment of transfer to another Weyr, the time period dependent on the itensity of the relationship.
**NOTE: Senior Weyrlings may have relationships as their dragons are almost mature and and will soon be rising (females) and competing in flights (males), towards the end of their Weyrlinghood, but this is a shady area int he rules, and  HEAVILY discouraged.

8. Respect, it's a big thing, and so...
a) As a Candidate or Weyrling, your mother, father, brother and sister is your Candidatemaster or Weyrlingmaster. Disobey them and the consequences will be dire...
b) As well, if you are a Weyrling, Junior or Senior, in this case it makes not a whit of difference, you must listen to older riders, regardless of whether or not you ride or will ride a higher-ranked color than they do.

9. To be eligible for Impression, officially ranked and chosen Candidates must be between the ages of thirteen and twenty-one Turns.

Section Two:

General RP and Character Rules
1. None of your characters may be HAD (Hears All Dragons) like Lessa, Aramina, or Brekke. This is pointless, because one can see what any dragon says by reading in the messages. There's no need, even if your character is naive; you still know, don't you?

2. Please ask special permission from cerisqueen to have a RP including any of the following.
a) A mating flight, flitt or dragon, as well as the Hatching that may result.
b) Extreme gore, profanity (violent cursing or nudity), or a death.
c) Having someone stalk, kidnap, or hold one of your characters hostage.
d) One of your chars becoming pregnant. If there are two players involved, BOTH players must agree to the pregnancy before permission will be given.

3. We have a few points regarding dragon colors we allow to be transferred in the Weyr, and they go as follows:
a) You may not transfer queen or bronze riders, we've a healthy population of both, and it's better if someone proves themselves before bringing in a high-ranked color and abusing any privelages. You may, however, transfer brown riders, blue riders, and green riders, just remember: ALL characters MUST be approved by cerisqueen, or the person(s) she has delegated to do so in any case of her absence.
b) We do not, under any circumstances, allow the mutations or sports you may have seen in other Weyrs, such as silvers and coppers. Save for Faith (who is purple, and was awarded by our Senior Weyrwoman), we follow Anne McCaffrey's 'Big Five' for colors: bronze, brown, blue, green and gold. After all, we want to honor her, not compete with the master.

And always remember your
ABC's!
