A Lonely Star

The sun begins to slowly set,
Over the hills afar.
The sky turns a shady violet,
And reveals a bright new star.
Its light begins to quickly grow,
Its radiance starts to glow.
Its fire rapidly takes its toll,
And burns within my deep, dark soul.
That lonely star shines brightly,
In the universe.
It shines on me so slightly,
And stunned me with a curse.
I started to wonder why its here,
But alas it was too late.
That bright and lonely star so near,
Burnt out and met its fate.
The Treachery of Rain

The wind was calm against my hair,
I didn�t notice the clouds were there.
As I looked into the sky,
Those dark black clouds let out a cry!
Lightning followed, quite intense,
Rain was near, as I could sense.
That calm wind began to howl,
The air went fast from sweet to foul.
Thunder and lightning, worse than before,
The clouds let go a great downpour!
I started running, the fastest pace,
Wiping drops off of my face.
I finally found a sheltered place,
But the rain had stopped without a trace.
I peered outside, only to find,
The treachery the rain had left behind.
Goodbye is not forever

I told you I�d be gone for a while,
I wish it weren�t true.
I just want to see your sweet, bright smile,
I hate to see you blue.
It crushes my heart to be away,
There�s no amount of words I can say.
To make you feel, just feel the way,
You are on all those other great days.
When we are together�.
You make me wish that I could stay.
Trapping me with your deep, dark eyes.
I want to tell you�I want to say,
That I�ll be here�but I cannot tell you lies.
Goodbye is not forever,
Goodbye is "I�ll be thinking of you,"
It is always, and not never.
So, goodbye�.I hope you miss me too.
When I�m With You

I can feel your presence near me,
Even when you�re not there.
And I wish that�s where you�d always be,
Its a feeling I cannot bear.
I�d put my arms around you,
And kiss your soft, sweet lips.
We�d dance the night forever,
With my hands both on your hips.
The feeling I get when I�m with you,
Is something quite unique.
I follow everything you do,
I shiver when you speak.
You always will mean too much to me,
For any word to bear.
The moon and stars that we will see,
Are always for us to share.
I think about you day and night,
Twenty-four and seven.
Because, my love, when I�m with you,
I feel like I�m in heaven.
Your Haunting Eyes

As I held your hand one lovely night,
While we walked down the shore,
I noticed something different,
That I�d not noticed before.
I stopped and gazed into your eyes,
And they gave me a sign,
At that moment I realized,
That you were surely mine.
Your haunting eyes looked into me,
Taking their cryptic toll,
Bluish gray in color,
And searching through my soul.
How I�ve Missed You

I remember the times when we�re together,
And it makes me want to sigh,
For all those glorious moments,
Have gone and passed us by.
But when I think things to myself,
I know its all too clear,
I wish that you were with me,
I wish that you were here.
How I want to brush your hair,
Out from over your eyes,
How I�ve missed your softest touch,
And your kisses by surprise.
You always make me feel so good,
You make me feel so free,
How I�ve missed your gentle ways,
You�re the only one for me.
Dreams

As the sun comes up in the morning sky
And fills my soul with light,
I try to remember my shadowed thoughts
That filled my mind the previous night.
My dreams crept back, as I had beckoned
And reckoned, through the darkness of those hours
I remembered, and thought as I shuddered
How such unplanned thoughts called dreams,
Carried such powers.
My mind and heart were filled with images
Of fear, of pain, of love, and of immenseness
From beyond my normal daily thoughts,
As I remembered, I shuddered,
Yet again.
The memories of such endless dreams
Full of hurt, and fear
Caused my soul to shiver like never before,
But shiver it did, when I remembered
Such dreams full of love, and neverending happiness,
Which disappeared to my dismay,
At the beginning of my newest day.
How I wish these loving dreams
Would remain with me throughout,
As do the anguish and pain filled shadows
Called nightmares, cause an indescribable shudder,
Without a single doubt...
