This incredible donkey stands 7" tall and is believed to have been made in
Monza, Italy by Giuseppe Tagliariol. Tagliariol figurines are also known as "TAY"
figurines, which is also the trade name of the company. Giuseppe Tagliariol
was born in 1915, studied under Cacciapuoti from 1933 to 1940, and acquired
his own studio in 1952. The age of this piece is unknown to us at this time.
These beautifully painted little ducks measure approximately 2.25"x6", and have a "TAY Italy" sticker underneath. There is also a hand painted title "Group Ducks" beneath the figurine. This work is the most typical of Tagliariol, as he is most widely known for his bird sculptures.
