five 'til midnight is an alternative band with classic rock influences. Formed in the fall of 2003, they have been dedicated to the sound and quality of live performance and the arrangement of music. Combining their talent and influences, they have created a sound all their own.

five 'til midnight started as a two piece band: Mark Haskell (vocals/guitar) and Chris Wilber (lead guitar/backing vocals). They began writing songs and playing at open mic shows in the fall of 2003. After about two months they picked up a drummer, Harold, and began writing more songs. They performed their first gig at the "Not So Late" show in Connecticut. After that show and a huge response from viewers, they recorded their first demo at Penchette Studios in Albany, NY. Shortly after that they aquired a pianist (Jennifer Garlin), and a bassist (Joe Mulheren). They played their first gig as a complete band in May of 2004.

2005 brought about many changes for the group, as Joe and Harold both stepped down to pursue other interests. Since then they have been joined by local open mic favorite and bassist Ashley Bowman, and Sub-Zero drummer Dennis Fatato.

The Summer of 2006 marked the last shows for the band, as pianist Jen moved to South Carolina to get married and build a life there, and singer-songwriter Mark will be moving to Massachussetts with his long-time girlfriend.  The band wants to thank everyone for their continuous support, and remember...the music will live on.
