The Races at Ennis, Texas Ford, (Shhhhh) Mustang World Finals Yeah I know, they are Fords but there was plenty of HP to go around and a day at the races is STILL a day at the races. I enjoy the eighth and quarter mile races and we saw some serious 6+ second runs along with some cool street legal cars and Fast Ford trucks. One of the things I like about the sport of Racing is that as a fan you can really get up close to the action. At these events you can find your perfect spot, whether it is along the entrance to the starting line where the cars line up, the line itself in the stands or at the fence, any point along the track or at the Finish line. As hot as it was one of our favorite spots at this race was the Margarita Hut and the Budweiser vendor where the best shade was found! |

The Car Show at Ennis This picture does not do this car justice! For me the color scheme wasn't what grabbed me, but rather the extent that the paint work was implemented throughout the car. What wasn't painted to match was chromed. Check out the Yahoo Photo Album of the race to see some pics of this car. (I have to apologize in advance for the datestamp on the pics. I forgot to disable it and it enters a default date.. Duh.) There are also some pics of us too.
Great 69' Fastback This was my second favorite car at the show. This Mustang was clean and was stylin' some Cragars. Nice car and I decided that, "Yeah, I'd look good in that!" This car would make anyone look good. The interior was beautiful.
Check out the Motorplex link above for the results of this and other races at the Texas Motorplex.
Ford also features this race HERE.
OK. That's all the Ford featuring I can handle for one day. (The next time I get in Sheba she probably won't crank. LOL.)
