Chapter 17:Wiggy, Wiggy
AKA we are SO not SLY! Julie ~You want to know
how much how much I love you...One thing you can be sure of
Of course she had
to bring it up! Of all the things to do and say! Gracie had
*You can’t get out of this one now...I made Grace say it. You’re trapped. HA HA HAAAAAAAA* Oh for goodness sakes! Not this stupid voice again. GO AWAY! I blinked my eyes to clear my head for a moment as I thought of what to say. The sounds of the song filtered in the air as my brain scrambled for something. I gave Grace an evil glance as my eyes rested on Scott. He was waiting expectantly to hear my story. GRACE YOU WENCH. THANKS A LOT. HELLO. WE’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FANS REMEMBER. How am I going to explain that I once had this dream where I was married to Scott and that everytime I was about to leave him that Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You would play in my head and I wouldn’t. I bet Gracie was doing this to get the attention away from her. Two words for her problem: Sean and Ritchie. “Yeah what dream is she talking about?”, Abs said. I turned towards his direction. He
was sitting very close to Laura at the table.
“Well are you going to share Jules?”, Grace
said amused no doubt at my
“Come on then! Let’s here it Jules”,
J said as he flipped through some CD’s. I
“Well....”, I began. It was a good beginning. Now how to put the rest into words. “I had this dream once a long time ago (okay
that was a lie- but I could pull it
“That’s not ALL! Tell them the rest!
The interesting part!”, Grace blurted out. I
*HAHAHAHAH* Oh yeah..."THE VOICE"...if you could hear my inner thoughts you'd notice the sarcasm in my voice...but since you can't hear them just pretend with me okay. DAMN VOICE. “What was going on in the dream?”, Abs asked
interested as he got up to get more
“Yeah. When would you hear the song play?”, Scott said. “Ummm...”, I began. But before I could
get another word out the bus breaked
*HAHAHHAHAHAHHA* That stupid laugh again. Sheesh.
What the hell? I tried to get up but ended up
You’re not quite as certain as you were before are you.....* HAHAHAHAHHA* “Let me try”, he said softly as he pushed
himself up and in doing so me at the same
“Thanks”, I said as we just stood there.
I moved my gaze quickly before I got
“Are you okay?”, I heard Scott ask as he made his way towards me. “Yeah. But what happened?”, I answered. “SORRY! Someone cut me off....”, Bob answered from the front. “That explains it! My coffee!”, Laura exclaimed as she saw her spilled coffee drip from the table. “It’s alright. I’ll get you some more”, Abs said as he made his way over to her. I looked around the bus. Everything that had been up was no down. The floor was a mess. That’s when I saw it….WHOA. “Is that what I think it is?”, I exclaimed as I picked it up from the floor. “What are you looking at Jules?”, Laura asked as she waited for Abs to come back with her coffee. “Yeah what is it?”, Jen asked finally upright. She seemed to be a little flustered. “It’s…”, I began but before I could finish Grace snatched it out of my hand. “Yeah! Janet Jackson’s Rythem Nation!
I love this CD. It was the first one I
“Me too! That was the first one I ever
bought too…”, Jen said slyly glancing over
*AHAHAHAHAHHAHA*
Not you again!
***NOOO…I won’t. I’m an evil voice that will cause your downfall….first PARTYGURLS and then the WORLD…..HAHAHAHAHA*** What tha? Ummm…okay psycho….Bleh. Grace was happily fiddling with the CD player when suddenly… Escapade came on and she started singing along…and then Jen….and then Shelbs…and then Laura….and then I did too. I couldn’t help myself. That’s when I realized that we were blending on accident, and we were each doing separate verses, we had arranged ourselves near each other, you get the picture….we were being PARTYGURLS. Which usually was a good thing because it meant that we were honing our skills…but under the circumstances it was not a way of being inconspicuous you know what I mean? I stopped myself and tried to give the others a “look”. But I should have learned from that “Chuck” interview that it wasn’t going to work. But you know I’m an optomistic
person…..NOPE…not even a dent in their brain waves! AGH!
I looked over at the guys hoping that they hadn’t noticed.
Because hey I could be over thinking- I mean they’re guys! And being
the University student I am….I did learn in my interpersonal communications
class that guys don’t overthink situations. Girls do.
But typical me...I was wrong AGAIN. What was up with that?
I guess I had to be Jen to be always right! DANG IT to heck.
The guys were all staring at us like they couldn’t believe what they were
hearing. Sean especially. He looked as if he was in deep
contemplation. Please don’t be thinking about the PARTYGURLS
tape from the car Sean. They hadn’t heard our voices that long right?
They wouldn’t be able to remember….and we weren’t singing the PARTYGURLS
song. We were singing JANET. Then just when I thought all hope
was lost JEN realized what was up. Someone had noticed that I’d stopped
singing!! She gave me a look of understanding and I let out a breath
of relief as she stopped singing. She was able to slyly (THANKS JEN)
give Grace, Laura, and Shelbs the same info. I glanced over at Sean
once more. He had this gleam in his eye. Please.
Please. Please. Please. Please. Don’t think
it!
Are they caught?
