| With hair tousled and in a bathrobe on the balcony of their holiday hotel, she looked just like a honeymooning wife. And pals say that's what she soon will be - despite the 16year age gap between her and the ginger-haired lover who is worth �80million. Chris, 34, is all set to ask the singer to marry him to show the world just how deeply he feels about her. Despite their meeting just three months ago, the former love-'em and-leave-'em Virgin Radio DJ and TFI Friday TV host has told close friends that this is the real thing. And the only way they'll be taken seriously is by getting engaged! One pal said: "Both have become sick of having to justify their relationship. Chris thinks the world of Billie and would never lead her astray. He just wants to protect his ideal woman - and it's only a matter of time until they wed." The couple have spent most of their stay inside their room at the Hotel Los Byblos, only coming out occasionally to soak up the sun on their balcony. And, before they check out today, a fellow guest said: "It's obvious that they're deeply in love - they haven't emerged from their room much at all." Cynics said it was just a publicity stunt when Chris bought Billie a �100,000 Ferrari full of balloons days after meeting her. But he swears he's fallen totally for the Swindon builder's daughter. Chris and Billie themselves refused to talk except to say: "We're both on tomato juices." That was a dig at the reports that Billie - the former date of Five star Ritchie Neville - collapsed last weekend during a boozy binge with Chris. The friend said: "She was particularly hurt by that. It was rubbish. She just stumbled after a few drinks, like you do. "She felt very depressed so Chris took her out of the limelight for a while. "Now their break could lead to an engagement." Club owner Peter Stringfellow is convinced the relationship will last. He said: "Chris has told me he's as happy as he's ever been." Billie's parents Paul and Mandy also think Chris is good for their girl, who has had health problems in the past and got death threats from a stalker |
