Aldous Huxley
(1894-22/11/1963)

Aldous Huxley grew blind with age, and he was definately a better essay writer than novel writer. "Brave New World" is his best known work, fitting extremely well within utopia.

His family counts numerous poets, writers. Huxley's father participated in the development of the evolution theory.

Nonetheless Aldous Huxley does not really want to follow his family's mission to guide the nation. His mother died when he was 14, and he became blind when he got 16. When he died on 22 November 1963, his death was a small line - remember, JFKennedy died that day too.
Huxley experimented with mezcaline, which recalls some passages of Brave New World. He mentions this in his lesser known works, "Doors of Perception" (1954), "Heaven and Hell" (1956), but warns against substances in "The Devils of Loudun" (1952). In 1962, he wrote "Island", a positive utopia, the antidote to the "Brave New World".
