Drugs
I'm against any drug being completely illegal. After all, poison kills you, guns kill you, cars kill you, planes kill you, cigarettes kill you, alcohol kills you, jogging kills you, and a lot of other crap can kill you and none of that is illegal completely.. and the answer isn't to make it illegal either. You can't protect people from drugs if they want to use them, they'll get em if they want them enough,. Making drugs illegal makes drug users criminals, it doesn't save anyone from becoming a user. And these users will just live even harder lives with this additional label on them. Users aside, drugs have their place in life. Anyone who doesn't try them at least once is a fool (the lighter stuff, not talking about heavily addicting, easily lethal drugs, ..i.e. harder stuff). They expand your mind, the same as going on vacation to a foreign country, only it's another area of your consciousness that you are exploring. Unfortunately, the media has given an image that everyone who tries drugs or takes them at parties is a user, giving drugs and the people that party a bad image.. when really that is ridiculous. But it fosters, and it makes itself true. People are still caught up in the whole "drugs are bad" thing whenever they start trying new things, and they feel like they are rebelling, or worse, they are using drugs as rebellion for real, which taints the whole experience. The only people that know the true glory of drugs and what they can do are the ones that have used them for years and have gotten over that whole image.. but still there are all the millions of people who could be experiencing this great trip, but won't because drugs are bad. I'm not against all drug laws, it should be illegal to push them on children, same as tobacco... it's all the same story really. Maybe you should have to pass psychological tests before you can take cocaine (not that it would stop anyone from using it if they failed the test, but it would make people feel better about it being legal), like you have to pass tests before you can drive a car.
