Head To Head
The Decision
Comparing the two cars, you can see the difference in quality. The EBS Convertible is good - very good, but the Peugeot's finish is better. For instance, The Five's doors shut with a clang, the rear windows are difficult to close (they don't want to line up with the seals) and the rubber seals around the windows need improving. Admittedly, the latter problems can be rectified by EBS.

Structurally, the Five does conquer scuttle shake better than the 205 (though it is not a real problem on either car) despite lacking a roll-bar.

In the end though, the decision rests with the styling. If you prefer the Five's shape, you'll go for the conversion, though they are very rare (only 33 in the country!) and they will cost money. If you want a cheaper, more conventional car, you'll go for the 205 CJ - they are easier to find!!

For most people, the CJ is the best option. But, as a Five owner, I'll go for the Conversion!!
