| On a Bluetiful and Lovely Morning on November 24, 1997 at Florida International University, history was made. Four Elegant and Illustrious Ladies started a new era. It was the time when Omicron Theta was chartered. Fabienne Mallebranche (now Fabienne Francis) from Lambda Rho chapter (University of Florida) came to bless Florida International Universtiy with her knowledge and history of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. By doing so, Soror Fabienne Mallebranche found many interested young women for this illustrious sorority. Out of the many ladies that expressed their interest, three stood out of the crowd the most. These three young women (along with Soror Mallebranche) became the charter members of Omicron Theta. These ladies are: Mawiyah Folami Pasua Skinner Marguerite Pelissier Samanthessa Romana Jacob Today, Omicron Theta chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated is still active with many intelligent and wonderful young women. |
