The Plot

Cardcaptor sakura is the story of a ten year old girl (Kinomoto, Sakura) who,
in her father's lybrary, finds the ancient book of Clow Leed (Reed). Upon
finding it and holding it in her hands, the clasp sealing it (the book) came
un-done in a spark of light! Swallowing her fear she opens the book to find
that the book had a false center, in its center the book held a stack of cards.
Sakura, overwhelmed with curiosity, picks up the first card and, slowly
sounding-out the English characters, reads aloud the cards name, "windy". All
of a sudden the magical circle appears on the floor beneath our sakura's feet
and the card glows unleashing the magical wind contained within the card. This
magical wind scatters the clow cards all over Japan. Overwhelmed with fear,
Sakura collapses on the floor and sighs; but wait, the surprises aren't over
with yet! As Sakura's getting over the sight of cards flying all over the place
due to a magical wind that she healped summon, Keroberos, the guardian beast
wakes-up (yes, I'm afraid it's true, Kerobers wasn't doing his job, he was
sleeping whilst all this happened) and begins speaking to Sakura. He tells her
that he is the guardian of the clow cards which, if not sealed away, will bring
about "The Great Disaster"; which according to Keroberos, or Kero-chan if you
will, is not anything like the world blowing-up. A short while later, up in her
room, Keroberos bigins demanding that she take on the responsibility for her
action and become a Cardcaptor and help him (Kero-chan) retreive the Clow cards
since he isn't strong enough to go after them him self. Sakura dosen't quite
agree and it takes a little goating from kero for her to finaly take on the
task; and so, as Kero-chan said in the first episode, "A Cardcaptor is born".
