Hello,
and thank you for your interest in my web site. Let me tell you a little bit about myself…

My name is Kelly Rainho, and ever
since I was young, I loved moving my body.
Whether it was shooting hoops, fast-pitch softball, dancing and
cheerleading, or just plain playing hard… moving became a healthy form
of expression for me, which always left me feeling great.
Then in my early twenties… my life changed.
A whiplash accident sent me into pain and therapy for the next
nine years. For those of
you who have never experienced back pain… I don’t think I could even
begin to describe it. All I
can tell you is it hurts, and you are constantly uncomfortable.
Sitting, standing, lying… no position brings relief.
And although I was thankful that I was alive and still a lot
better off than some… I was pretty angry.
I wanted my body back. I
was in the prime of my life, but felt like I was in the body of an
eighty-year-old. I wanted
that feeling of being young again.
I wanted to move the way I used to be able to... I wanted to feel
great after being active the way I used to.
But my movements were all limited now, and all I felt was pain.
It was then that I learned one of the most valuable lessons of my
life… to never take my health for granted.
Ten years after my first accident, my pain tolerance seemed to reach a
point so high that I didn’t feel the pain anymore… except for in the
mornings. There was always
pain and stiffness in the mornings.
But I would loosen up as the day went by, and I started to get
back into a fitness routine. I
started feeling a little better, having more good days than bad days…
and then wham!… another accident.
And just as I had feared, new pains arose and old pains were
re-awakened. And again…
my life changed. Although
surprisingly, this time it changed for the better.
After the second accident, I started treating with a chiropractor who
introduced me to the stability ball and specific “core training”
exercises. And after a few
months of treatment and sticking to my exercises three times a week, I
couldn’t believe it when I started waking up in the mornings with
significantly less pain and stiffness.
I had feelings of youthfulness again.
I felt like me again.
And so here I am… a personal trainer for about a year and half now,
but some of my mentors could tell you I had talent at it long before I
got certified. My personal
experiences have given me so much more knowledge, which I feel puts me
at an advantage over other trainers.
Plus I am passionate about what I do.
I look back at my life - the accidents and pain - and I look at
them, in a way, as blessings for I have learned my purpose in life… to
help others have less pain, to feel more fit and youthful; and most
importantly, to get others to value their health and stop taking it for
granted.
So
what are you waiting for? Today
is first day to the rest of your life.
