From 2005 to 2007, Declan Patrick worked as Artistic Director of the Philippine Dance Company Benildanze (formerly Filipinescas). In addition he created three new works for them:
Pyjamas, a contemporary Dance piece, based on previous work for FFP.
Love, Death and Mompou, a dance-theatre exploration of Spanish influence in the Philippines. This piece was commissioned by the Spanish Programme for Cultural Cooperation and performed in the Spanish International Festival in Manila in October 2006.
Poi and Other Disasters, a Kiwi inspired contemporary dance show, commissioned by Trade and Enterprise New Zealand and performed in the New Zealand International Festival in Manila.
Benildanze received funding from the Philippines National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and various private companies and was nominated as Outstanding Dance Company of the year 2006 at the People Choice's Awards.
